Post match vs Bournemouth

What has that got to do with managing a football club? I don't care if Donald Trump or Bin Laden is our manager as long as he's a great manager.

It's about character and trust. If players can't trust their manager all else is moot.

He destroyed his brother's marriage and his life and he destroyed an unborn baby to protect his sordid affair and his image. Great footballer maybe but an utter scumbag of a human being. That's why.

Understand where you are coming from. Personally I have always tried not to judge someone else on personal issues.

If we are moving to the Bayern model Phil is alluding to ie. Co92, it may not be a bad idea. But they would need to prove themselves first.

Well at least we know why you keep peddling this baseless idea that Giggs is the reason people are criticising Van Gaal. I don't see what a mans personal life has to do with you stopping supporting a football club though. Each to their own.

Despicable people contaminate the game, as they do in politics and society, and often like Saville they merrily float through life as reputable people. Giggs reputation aside, he is locked into the club. Would he have been sacked back in the day as the Doc was, probably not. Morals don't have a place except when it suits those people in the game who wish to exploit them for money. Double standards streamline the game, there are no morality plays, and this goes the same for Bayern and other top clubs.

Suits and former players run a hard business at Bayern and it has been incredibly successful. However, unlike us they haven't completely crapped on their fans as OT has done to us. But now OT faces a dilemma. Boring football and three seasons of failure is testing patience and memory. Big money is at stake, money is spent and new money has to be generated. Ultimately, we have arrived at a critical point.

Giggs and the spiders web is one option, Pep is another, Ancelotti is a third, and maybe Woody is considering A N other. Thus far we have been very amateurish and there is no indication this will change with the next decision. If Giggs becomes the next manager it will speak volumes about the shinanigans over the last 5 years. As a 50 year plus fan, will it succeed - I fear not but maybe my generation of being a fan has drawn to a close.

The board has changed significantly since the Doc was let go based on his personal life. It is currently just a business. the Glazers only look at as an investment. I think once the price is right, they will sell it. It is going to be a plaything of some Super Rich group or person.

In my experience board members change but the culture often remains in the shadows but retaining a golden thread running through decisions. Maybe if it goes to a franchise and is moved out of Manchester there might be a real change.

I've told you my reasons and I stick by them. Whether it's baseless or not remains to be seen.

Fair enough. As Martin Luther King said, people should be judged by the content of their character and, from what I've seen, Giggs doesn't have a moral compass. That doesn't bode well for a man with aspirations of managing one of the world's biggest clubs and, in my experience, what a man does in his private life often carries into his work life too.

Respect that view.

One thing is certain. We are a club in turmoil atm.

And I yours.

We are in turmoil but I think we'll come out of it without having to give Van Gaal his cards. The injury situation is horrendous and would challenge any side, be it Barca, City, Chelsea, or even Bayern. We've been here before a few times in the past and managed to get through it. Trouble is, these days, there's 24-hour coverage and everything the manager says is scrutinized by journalists, bloggers, and pundits alike; not to mention the people on forums like this. It must be intense at the sharp end.

was watching the Fergie interview and some old clips. The difference with the current team is that there is no passion in the team.

That lack of passion is reflected in how we play and how lamely we accept defeat. We don't believe.

This is why I blame van Gaal.

What truly gets me is how the squad stands around like wooden tops at critical moments. It's almost as if they're awaiting instructions as what to do next. Sometimes the basic mistakes are so glaring that's it's alarming; and have been since the start of the season. If we lose the next 2 games it will be difficult to claw back the lost ground.
