It is an honour for me to that I will work next season for this big club - the FC Bayern Munich.
Since I know of the interest of the club I did not consider taking another of the jobs that was proposed to me.
I wish the club FC Bayern and my friend Guardiala the best for the rest of this season.

Brilliant appointment. Everything they've done is spot on in the last few years - Heynckes, Guardiola and now Ancelotti. They've probably got their sights already set on one of the next up and coming managers in Pocchetino, Tuchel etc depending on how they do.
I'm sure we follow Tuchel's work at Dortmund closely, but it looks like we definitely try to market ourselves a lot more internationally, therefore appointing big foreign managers is an important part of our development. I personally would have loved to give a less well known German manager a chance, but Ancelotti makes so much sense. It'll keep us attractive to foreign top players, it shows that we continue to be highly ambitious on the biggest stage. It's again absolutely perfect timing. Guardiola can focus 100% on the team right now while Ancelotti can take a bit time to learn German, study our squad and plan the next season with the board.
If Ancelotti manages to win the CL with Bayern, would he be the first to do it with 3 clubs?
Take your pick of the CL as well. One win is for certain.
Only 2 managers have won it 3 times, Paisley won 3 European Cups with Liverpool and Ancelotti is the other one with his 2 wins at Milan and 1 with Real. So yeah, he'd be the first to have 4 and the first to have won it at 3 different clubs.
/edit: I think Ernst Happel is the only won who reached the final with 3 different clubs? The wins with Feyenoord and Hamburg and the final loss with Brugge in 1978 against Paisley's Liverpool.
There will not be a problem with Müller-Wohlfahrt either - Ancelotti is a customer of him, too...

Quite reassuring from a players perspective, no tom-feckery on who the next manager is and what quality he's going to bring. He's not Pep but he's a damn good manager with a prestigious reputation.

Appointing Ancelotti as Bayern's manager gives good chances to Dortmund to win the Bundesliga title again. Ancelotti is not particularly great at winning domestic titltes.
Bayern is a brilliantly run club.

We saw this the summer when Bayern spent more than United despite winning the treble and securing a top manager.
Meanwhile, United lost the biggest figure in British football history and his chief executive, and wanted to penny-pinch. And then had to be reactive, when January came and the team looked terrible.
Maybe the club forgets Sir Alex is actually gone, and he's not here to cover up a poor infrastructure. I pray they've learnt by now.

I think Pep is an exceptional league manager and our dominance under him overshadows how strong Dortmund actually is and what a great season they're playing. It could easily fuel the motivation of many players at other clubs to beat us and Ancelotti in general isn't that great (in comparison to Pep) at keeping a team fresh and motivated week in week out, so yes extra motivation for other clubs to finally kick us of our throne again paired with Ancelotti's underwhelming domestic record is worrying.
I'm not worried about the fans in Munich. I don't think anyone in the world dislikes Ancelotti and he'll do a great job as he always did, but I expect our chances to win the CL to improve slightly (nothing is sure either way of course) while we won't be as dominant in the league under him. Fans of other clubs will be unbearable if he doesn't win the league in his first season though, I'm quite sure of that.

That's how a proper top club operates. No fecking around and leaving everyone in the dark.
Bayern has been a well run club for ages but it has not always been like this. Only a few years back it took getting rid off Klinsmann and players speaking out about lack of tactics and direction as well as lack of right transfers (Lahm even mentioned us and Barca as examples of well run and successful clubs) to get on the right path again.
We will get there, too. We are too big and rich not to. But decisions at top level and ability to adapt will decide the speed and costs at which we get there.

He was my first choice for our next manager.Bayern made exactly the same mistakes after their trebble in the early 00's and became average on the international stage for a long period of time. But with the appointment of Van Gaal (!) their comeback had begun.
I also seriously believe that the absence of Hoeneß, with Rummenigge totally in charge now, was a good thing for Bayerns management.
