With us seemingly not a bit interested and now Real Madrid announcing Zidane, where do you think will be his next destination?

Is the Portugal national team a good shout, or do you see him managing any other club in Europe.

I still think there's a good chance he will come to United. I think a lot of people expected Van Gaal to be gone by now, but the fact that he isn't doesn't necessarily mean that we aren't interested in Mourinho. I don't really expect Van Gaal to be here next season and if Mourinho is still available at that time then it could be on.

Watch the world panic when and chase him once Pep states his business, knowing that Carlo is taken too.

Madrid after they fire zidane before season's end? :p

I think a lot will depend on pep as well. Mourinho could go to us or city at the end of the season? I do recall city's owner not being a big fan though? I could have just imagined that.

Failing those clubs - yeah, he's running out of options as he's won most top leagues, sort of alienated the others  and I doubt Bayern would have him in future either.

England or Portuguese national teams an option. Juve or back to Inter?

This. Hopefully. Don't get me wrong, I don't like Mourinho but he could be good for a season or 2.

Valencia in the summer.

The bus depot.

Depends on whether he's willing to wait a couple of months for the Real Madrid job.

I hope he waits for the United job to become available. LVG has some tough games coming up and I'll be surprised if he lasts more than a month or two

England after Hodgson failing to get out of the group

What does he have against Portugal? You'd think he would go for that after whoring himself to every club in Europe.

Back to Italy, perhaps? I can't see him going to Valencia even with the Mendes connections. Just couldn't see Mourinho wanting to compete in a league that has [at the very least] three teams completely superior to his. PSG won't take him, and there's nowhere open in England, unless we sack van Gaal, which doesn't look likely.

He's far too young for a NT job.

He should take a sabbatical and recharge. The last time he did that, things worked out quite well for him.

He is still a top manager and a few months from now with some manager struggling, his Chelsea troubles will be largely forgotten. It's football(the Lucas effect), absence makes the heart grow fonder and things are largely forgotten.

6 months, and things wont be like they are now.

is United not interested? 100% sure? I think that he is crazy for United job.

Think some on the board are keen, but some aren't. We don't seem to have a board that makes collectively good incisive decisions not based on any sentiments or whatever - that's why Mourinho seems a no go at the moment. But agree with you that Mourinho would love the United job...

Just can't get my head around it.
We should be all over him, esp in our current state.

He'll end up at United in the summer. You'd be crazy not to.
If that's the case I just don't understand why we wouldn't give it to him now.
Have a Jan transfer window too.

Yeah, strange indeed. Maybe a lot has happened behind the curtains that noone knows about. Didn't Mourinho's father have serious health problems atm? Maybe he wants a bit of a break until the summer at least?

To be fair Mourinho does look like he needs a break to recharge his batteries.

Yeah agreed. Hopefully not at the expense of a top4 finish for us. Then we can wave goodbye to any and every top manager :(

:D Don't be sad Pazzers - think positively!

He will be our next manager. Its not if but when. Lvg is being given time just like moyes was, no Top 4 will get LVG sacked, as Real have taken zidane i dont see any position open to him atleast till the summer. Lets analyze-
Chelsea - No way
City -pep/pelligrini
Arsenal - Wenger will be here(even if he goes, him and the club have had loads of fights, dont see arsenal going for him)
Spurs- pochettino
Liverpool- Will remain deluded with klopp for a while, then when they realize he is failing, they will go back to The FSW.
Madrid-zidane will be given most time and atleast till end of next season
Barca- No chance
Valencia - this is probably an option, but it will be a step down for him, dont think he will want that
Juve - Dont think he goes back to italy, Juve will probably keep allegri
Germany - Well bayern have Carlo,BvB have tuchel so no space for him there.

I think he will wait till summer and see what is happening with us/city. He may take the portugal job. there are other forums with some Itks that say he will be our next manager.

:nono: Culés already hating.

It's obvious IMO, seems to be the worst kept secret in football that Perez likes him and wants him back. There is just no way that José takes over in the middle of the season when Madrid are already out of the domestic cup and potentially 5 points behind Barca with a negative head-to-head record, he's not that type of manager. My guess is Zidane is the caretaker for now and Mourinho will return in the summer. Probably after some squad clearouts, like Pepe and probably Ronaldo, the players Mourinho has fallen out with.

PSG?

Maybe a national job.

I think a couple of years off could do him good.
