Europa League 2015/2016

Surely it's going to be Chadli on the left with Son up front?

Frankly, I can understand why Poch has done that.

anybody with brain can.....if this was a normal season and they were in the battle for the top 4 spot i would be first to criticize but now he has a very good reasons why he put this team up.

Definitely... I mean... otherwise it would be incomprehensible. But Chadli is quick as feck, so it might be a real possibility.

Nope, it'll be Chadli up front. He's done it before.

Also think it's a terrible decision from Poch. We've seen it so many times before, where a team plays a weakened side in a competition to save players for the Premiership, but the defeat and act of 'giving up' creates a worse atmosphere among the team, and the momentum that he tries to protect then gets lost. That said, if they manage to get a decent result from this then he's done brilliantly...

Anyway, come on Dortmund!

Have they got Villa at the weekend? Why the poor side?

It's no different really from what Poch has done in other EL games so far, but I agree it's a somewhat surprising weakened team. Clearly Poch is prioritising the Prem, regardless of what he may say publicly.

Well, at first I just wanted us to edge out the Spurs. After seeing their lineup, I hope we hammer all confidence out of them so they bottle the end of the season like usual. Been a long time since an opposing team came to the Westfalenstadium and dared to rest their best players.

For all the excuses about them being in the title race, we are in pretty much the same spot (same number of points behind the table leader, similar number of games in total in the bones, having played an exhausting top match last playday), yet we field our best possible team. BIggest difference is that we play a superior team in the league this weekend.

"Poch" is smart. That odious English hating little Turk is reffing. He's Kryptonite to the hopes of all English teams. You're out before kick off.

You've won the Bundesliga recently though and only have one team to topple. Spurs probably won't ever get a chance like this again.

You aren't. For starters your table position guarantees you CL football next season, whereas Spurs, although in good position for this, could still more easily lose out. Secondly, your chances of over-taking B. Munich are much less than that of Spurs over-taking Leicester ... not to mention the existence of other title contenders like City and Arsenal.

Son loves scoring against Dortmund.
He has declined though IIRC. Played 3 games each with your lot and Leverkusen, scored 4 for you and 1 for the 'pills'.

Would have been good to see a full strength Spurs side, but can understand them prioritising the league. Still, Kane could have benefitted. Hummels is an absolutely terrible defender in my view and can be got at, for all his silk on the ball.

He isn't - he isn't even in the matchday squad.

Ooops. I was trusting a caftard who has since deleted this post...

Weidenfeller - Piszczek, S. Bender, Hummels, Schmelzer - Weigl - Gündogan, Kagawa - H. Mkhitaryan, Reus- Aubameyang

Lloris - Trippier, Alderweireld, Wimmer, B. Davies - Dier, Mason - Chadli, Eriksen, Son - Kane

6 minutes in and Spurs already lucked out twice. Could be a fun evening.

Can never quite accept teams that play in yellow as serious long term prospects.

Dormund all over Spurs. If they don't get their shit together this draw will be over before the second game.

In an earlier era, Eriksen would have looked like a wreck of an athlete.

What is this tactic Spurs are playing? Looks like a shit 4-4-2 with Son and Chadli as strikers.

That goal has been coming for at least 10 minutes. Dortmund were winning every second ball for a sustained period of time there. No escape for Spurs.

This now looks suspiciously like the Tottenham Hotspurs we know and love.
