City to sign Ter Stegen ahead of Liverpool?

Don't know what to make of that, Hart is prone to a blunder but he's no worse in my opinion.

Why would Barcelona sell?
Bravo's their #1 and looks to be for the foreseeable. When ter Stegen moved to Barca he didn't imagine he'd be on the bench. If true then this spells the end for Hart.

Oh the media outcry incoming in full swing... "but but what about our dear Hart, who is top top top top keeper"

Hart has actually had a decent year has he not? Doesn't make much sense, that kind of competition is exactly what Ter Stegen is trying to get away from.

Ter Stegen will be the second player after midfielder Ilkay Gundogan to choose Guardiola and City
Damn. Love gundogan.

Maybe they like Bravo better?

Don't they share the keeping duties? Bravo in the league, Ter Stegen in the cup and Europe. Bravo is 33 in April, so it's only a matter of time before Ter Stegen gets the job on both fronts.

Can't see Hart as a number 2. Who does he move to? Liverpool?

Hoenigstein, a couple of weeks ago suggested Hart could be in trouble. No one took any notice cause they thought it was nonsense. Dint say he will be sold but said he may not be first choice.

Well if GK laws are to be followed, then they enter their prime years from like 32-37, so it might be a while before Ter Stegen starts.

Pep must have assured him No. 1 status. Hart might be on the move.

Can't blame for wanting more minutes, he deserves to start for a top team. Such a shame that's not foreseeable with Barca as Bravo has been stellar since day 1. Plus working under Pep in a team that will utilise his skills perfectly. He won everything he can in his first year, so can't really fault him for wanting out. You can't have 2 top tier goalies after all.

Exactly as I predicted. Pep will not fancy Hart at all.
Hart is a touch line keeper. Pep loves his keepers to play the sweeper role and be good on the ball. It could hve consequences in the dressing room because Hart doesn't seem like the type to take being shunted quietly.

It's funny I hardly ever watch La Liga so only ever see Barca in Europe so I've actually never heard of this Bravo chap

The only reason Ter Stegen may leave is because Bravo is starting. Won't make any sense to sign De Gea and bench Bravo if that's the case.
Or Ter Stegen may have learned that barca are buying DDG?

Why not? De Gea is a much better keeper than either of them. I don't think it's too different to upgrading Sanchez for Suarez, who had a pretty decent final season at Barca.

De Gea is not going to Barca, it's the Ronaldo situation all over again it's not a desperation to play in Spain it's a desperation to play for Real Madrid

I expect that Pep will give Hart a chance to prove himself in his system. I can't see it working though. I don't think that City fans will be happy about Hart losing his place, all the ones that I know love him.

Hmmm, I though Ronaldo had no preference? As long as it was for either barca, or Madrid?

You might be on to something.

That's not what I meant. Everyone at Barca is more than satisfied with Ter Stegen, he's outstanding and is only 23 years old. The only issue is that Bravo is also performing at a high level consistently, so Lucho can't bench him. Getting De Gea would lead to us losing both keepers, as both Bravo and Stegen clearly deserve to start. Plus the obvious Madrid and girlfriend links that wouldn't make De Gea's move logical unless Real Madrid finally decide to pass on him and stick with Navas.

Damn City/Pep move fast whilst we are still dragging our heels over whether or not to let LVG continue, hire a complete novice or make the right decision and employ one of the best managers around.

Valdes was a sweeper keeper?

Hart's just not capable of doing anything like that. He's worse with the ball at his feet than Mignolet. So much so that City avoid passing to him whenever possible.

In fact there's only one starting keeper in Europe's top 5 leagues that make less passes per game than Hart this season. Quite incredible when you think about it. Of the 98 starting keepers in those 5 leagues, he ranks 97th. I don't know how it doesn't get mentioned more.
