Angel di Maria: I was played out of position at Man Utd

Leave off, lads, he was back near the scene of that burglary that definitely never happened. Imagine how upsetting you'd find that.

Was utter shite today utter shite

I was glad to see the back of him, and tonight reminded me why. De Bruyne even at £10m more looks the better buy.

I will give him that settling down was tough for him and his family after the burglarly and that it majorly affected his play. He's also a great footballer. But he a) lacks the type of competitive drive a world class player has, b) never wanted to be here and instead of trying to do his best to settle down, was just waiting for PSG to come by and c) is constantly whining about his time here when the chapter is closed. Van Gaal didn't utilize him properly, but given his price tag, his performances were not just average, which you could blame on the manager shifting around, but they were shameful. And that's what pisses me off about him and his complaining.

He'll go down as an Anelka-like legend: never quite justifying increasingly insane transfer fees.

Was shite tonight but was Ok in the first leg and probably their best attacking player in both legs against Chelsea.

Was utter pony tonight. Hardly beat the first man with his crossing. In fairness to him, PSG whole team were all toilet.

He's a coward who refused to take responsibility for his standards here. If you are a striker for your Sunday league team and you have to fill in at centre half because of an injury, if you don't know how to play offside as a defender and get caught out a lot, you can rightly claim to be a fish out of water. But if you make mistake after mistake because you can't hit a ten yard pass to an open teammate, then that's not the manager's fault for playing you out of position. That's your fault for being shit. How one of the supposedly best attacking players in the world can claim that his poor form was down to playing left midfield when he wanted to play centrally is beyond me. He couldn't cross his legs, couldn't beat a statue, and was getting owned by journeymen ffs. He should be ashamed of himself for the tripe he served up week in week out.

Whilst I agree with most you say, he was one of the top assisters in the league last season. He was poor and IMO didn't help himself at time, but the manager was also an utter prick, playing him in 5 different positions in the space of about 9 games. We have also seen what he has done to most of the attacking players who have come to the club, the pattern is there for all to see.

EDIT: I don't think its coincidence that most of the attackers seem to look good in their first few games, then start to deteriorate some slowly some quickly. Even Memphis looked good start of this season

Of course he was played out of position. He was being managed by Van Gaal, a guy that has turned playing people out of position into an art form.

When I say art form I'm talking about those weirdos that use their own shit to paint pictures with, that type of art form!!

I believe that's called "Process philosophy art"

Reminds me of the modern art exhibition some many years ago that had an installation with the artist's shite, sperm and blood in a switched on blender.

He may have played out of position but he looked disinterested and at times couldn't string together a pass less than 10 yards. You have to question the professionalism and mental state in such cases.

Regarding the burglary: in his interview he did not mention the burglary as one of the reasons he wanted to leave.
He has basically blamed everything on the manager. Nobody else.

When we signed him I remember thinking a never say die attitude and ferocious work-rate would be two of his best qualities. Had no idea he was such an utterly spineless turd. As PSG also seem to be discovering.
I thought he would be like tevez with drive from midfield
