The Spurs thread

Can we please ban Glaston if Spurs win the league. It will be unbearable! ;)

I want them to win the league but those feelings are being tempered by the inevitable Glaston gloating.

I thoroughly hope they or Leceister win the League.

We have to beat Arsenal.

Europa coming up, the answer is no. I can't see Poch sacrificing Europa and he'll be fooled into thinking he has a good enough squad for both. Ultimate reality will kick in when Tom Carroll, Lamela, etc, are found out in the league without Alli, Erikson and Kane next to them. I can see Newcastle, Brom, Bournemouth and specially Villa giving them big shocks (where Poch will give his squad players games).

Have you watched them play this season? Spurs look brilliant to my eye and are my favourites for the league at the moment.

I'd actually want them to win the league if it weren't for Glaston.

Leicester have looked far better. Why are they not your favourites for the league? Have you not been watching them? :p

valid point - though the thought of spurs winning and Glaston taking over the transfer forum with talk of getting modric / bale back now they are champions before finally selling Alli and Kane to them for shed loads of money on deadline day makes me think it would be all worth while.

But If Leicester dont win it then Id prefer Spuds over Arsenal or City (mind you the thought of City winning everything and still sacking pellagrini is mildly amusing)

I'm okay with either them or Leicester. If they win it, I'll put Glaston on ignore and it will be okay.

If Arsenal win it, I'm off Redcafe for a couple of years, probably. I can't put all smug gooners on ignore, unfortunately.

I think we should ban Glaston if Spurs win it and that'd be good.

I don´t get all the Glaston hate. :wenger: Various City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Pool fans are way more annoying. Usually he is fairly reasonable.

Tottenham are certainly likeable at the moment. Poch/most of their players seem to be decent lads and they play good football without any on/off the pitch shenanigans.

I was a bit worried when Vertonghen picked up his injury a few weeks back, thereby disrupting the best CB partnership in the Prem this season, but Wimmer - signed for just £4m - has filled the vacancy really well ... to the point where Vertonghen looks like having real competition for a starting slot when he returns.

Alderweireld performing to way he has been is probably an important factor in both Vertonghen/Wimmer looking good as well. I've always liked Alderweireld but I never thought him capable of the level he's been at this season. Very calm, very assured and leading that defense by great example.
I saw this stats earlier (no idea how valid) that if true is pretty incredible: apparently he's committed only 7 fouls in 26 league games this season.

I've been watching both and I believe Spurs are looking better at the moment. They just look to me like they have more control over games and a squad with the potential to keep it going until the end of the season. I'm still not convinced Leicester will sustain what they've been doing until May!

I think they are favourites for the title at this moment and i think everyone will recognize that after they play Arsenal.

Why the feck do people care so much about a poster on an Internet forum? If you'd like Spurs to win, Glaston should be meaningless in the scheme of things.

Spurs has been the better team than Leceister this season. A lot of credit to Pochettino towards bringing them this far. I will be interested to see how he does next season for them with Champion league football part of his schedule and with more top teams stabilized and motivated to win the league.

Yep they're a good team. I don't agree they've been better than Leicester over the course of season so far but if they go on to win it, it will likely be after what, 8 wins in a row in final 8 games? Nobody will call it undeserved.

Yea, I believe Leceister has been the most consistent, which is why they are on top of the league.

I agree. Stop being so sensitive about one poster.

Yep, now they've really come together it's easy to forget that they only won 6 out of their first 16 league games this season. Looking brilliant now, though.

Agreed, I'd even go as far to say they have the most points this season, and if they go on to win it, that'll probably stay the same.

I just hope west brom and chelsea do leicester a favour. I'd hate to win and crush the leicester dream!

Fantastic performance by Spurs tonight though, can't say it would be undeserving if they did win the league.

Alli and Kane have 34 league goals between them. We have scored 40 overall. Grim.

Mahrez and Vardy have 38. I'm pretty sure we actually had to catch up with that, although I might be wrong. At the rate Kane and Alli are going though, they might end up with more than United. West Brom should be an easy game for them to rack up a few.

Interesting skimming through the first page. Think most of us recognised there was a bit of potential and quality in this Spurs side, although interestingly most of us still opted for around 5th. Even Glaston, for all the criticism he gets, thought they'd finish there with a chance of top 4. Suppose no one knew how poorly the likes of Chelsea etc would do.

Just realised we don't have a Christian Eriksen thread. People praise Kane and Alli, but Eriksen is surely as deserving as these 2. If Mata is sold, I'd actually love to see Eriksen in our side, thats how much I love him. Just look at those passes and they would have been replayed over and over had he been English.

Would be delighted if Spurs win it. Leicester are annoying.

I asked in the matchday thread but then Spurs scored and it got missed..

Does anyone find it difficult watching Spurs? They are everything United SHOULD be
