The United that played against Everton would have lost to most teams

Yeah, we just about managed a win against an Everton in piss poor form. Leicester are the best team in the league. That said, we are in decent form.

We already let Vardy get the record for consecutive goals at their place, we need to make them wait for the league.

My my...how things change when we hit the big time. This united team almost beat you at the King power. Second half saw more United chances or have you forgot

What? Everton are in poor form but they were fighting for their lives in that second half. It wasn't like a league game where they've completely given up

@Niall you have the best name ever and I'm sure you're extremely handsome but why do you use that shiny United badge for the match day threads?!

Every type of luck I've seen in a football match showed its face for Everton in that game. By all rights they should have gone in 3-1 down at half time and the game would have ended 6-3 or something mad like that. We were comfortably better.

Not that any of it has any bearing on the Leicester game. Few games this season have been a reliable predictor of the following game. The one thing in our favour is that in general LVG's done a superb job of getting results against the top teams. Only one or two exceptions in his two seasons with us.

But Leicester doesn't play like a top team. They sit back and wait for counters, which is what mostly the bottom teams do. But for some reason, opponents still play to their hands.

only result I see happening in this game is a draw, I can't see you beating us, though I think we could nick it.
Shame about Vardy's ban but we're far from a 1 man team even if Sky were keen to suggest it for advertising purposes.

currently DDG and Kasper are tied for the golden glove with 15 clean sheets a piece
I can't see anything but a United win. If ye had Vardy then ur pace could trouble us but now it'll be a United win.

Our record with Oliver as ref this season:

    Man Utd 3:1 Liverpool
    Man Utd 1:2 Norwich City
    Chelsea 1:1 Man Utd
    Man City 0:1 Man Utd

I'm confident we'll get the win. Leicester will work their socks off, no doubt, but I have to think something in the back of their mind might suggest to them that enjoying the trophy clinching victory at home the next week would be even sweeter.

Congrats you had loads of possession but did sod all with it

Home or away won't matter they'll just want it won

Vardy is gone for this one. United has found their mojo (sort of) and are pretty tough to beat at OT even when we don't have our mojo. Or v Everton at home.

Leicester City will lift the trophy at the King Power stadium.

Feckin Oliver. It all depends on whom he sees as the underdog. They are sure to get favours.

Funny, usually it's leicester fighting to hold Manchester United to their league title. Now it's the other way around...

    We need our mojo back

Yep and need lose our Rojo!

Fosu-Mensah at LB to deal with Mahrez. Think he might well kill Darmian with the form the Italian is in and Fosu-Mensah did a great job shadowing Eriksen.

Rashford has the quickness to run at their CBs, but they make those opportunities rare.

Martial vs Simpson is a nice matchup.

Really think Kante-Drinkwater could handle our 3 man midfield. I literally say this every game but Herrera has to play to provide mobility and link play.

Van Gaal always does his homework and prepares meticulously for fixtures. So you know 3-5-2 is coming. It was nailed on in the away game due to Vardy's form and stopping the opponent. It is nailed on here in my opinion (though maybe having Ulloa as a direct target will change his preparation). Since he is a stickler for possession to limit risk so he has to assume that Ranieri will be sending his lads out to try and get at us in the first 45 minutes.

Nearly every game this season in which we come up against a team who presses fast and counters he's gone straight to possession control. So get ready for that. You would think that Ranieri would be saying to his lads "lets do our homework on Friday so we can party all weekend". Give it a big first 45 minutes against us when they know we stroke the ball around like we're 8-0 up in added time in a cup final and get at us before we even think about thinking about thinking about creating some chances and putting the ball in the net.

Simpson got a bit of a free ride at the King Power. We played with wingbacks and I really would prefer to see Martial up against him on the left hand side, so Tony can add another ashen skull to the necklace he's created from the torched corpses of fullbacks he's come up against this season.

I honestly can't see us keeping a clean sheet and if we go 2-0 down in the first half (providing my scenario above plays out) I think we can call game, set and match and watch a vile celebration as Leicester lift the title. You'd like to think some of our lads have at least the MUFC passion to not let that happen. But this season under Van Gaal we've looked anything but like we give a shit about what is happening around us so stranger things have happened that is for sure.

Often our formation isn't really set in stone. When we play with TFM sometimes it looks like 3-5-2 with Rojo and Lingard as wingbacks but sometimes it also looks like a 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3. Don't think he will go for a set in stone formation, just a mixture of all three again.

We simply must not be prepared to countenance any team other than us winning the league by winning at OT.

If they're to win it, let them win it somewhere else.

    Team should be

    Ddg
    TFM-Smalling-Blind-Darmian
    Carrick-Schneiderlin
    Lingard-Rooney-Martial
    Rashford

    Best team.

Leicester ain't gonna do it at OT, United is breathing heavily in Arsenal/City's neck. They'll do it against Everton.

Honestly think we should play with a midfield three of either Herrera, Schneiderlin and Rooney (can't not play) or TFM, Schneiderlin and Rooney. Rooney won't be able to handle the pace of the game at times for sure, so he needs better runners around him that can get to the tackles. Carrick and Rooney together against Kante and Drinkwater would be dire.

Not sure I agree about Rooney, he gets about a lot more than people seem to think e.g. who was it who sprinted back from midfield to head Lukaku's effort off the line after he'd rounded DDG in the 6th minute?

The United that played against Everton will get the full points at OT.

Everton are a team who are playing like a relegation threatened team. Their manager is very close to be fired.
LCFC are the best team in the league (including current form).
If we play like we did against Everton (who ran us very close), we would lose.

To boot Leicester probably won't miss a penalty should they get one.
Lukaku played liked he'd already signed for Utd, won't be one of those at Leicester...not yet anyway.

For me, what Joe Jart did to the ref should've been instant red card and even further action.
Basically, he used physical intimidation against a ref.
Most teams/players shout at the ref, but locking horns/foreheads - that should see players get banned.

LOL. Yes I totally forgot about Lukaku's MOTM performance (for us), that day.
He was so eye wateringly bad, it was shocking.
