Sevilla would do the dippers anyway, though it would be good if they went out in the semis.
He was ill, not injured
Apparently he was only ill.
Mcmanamammana is gutted. Trying to be bullish but he's even forgetting to over exaggerate his scouse accent he's that pissed off.

It could very well be two European finals with two Spanish clubs against each other in both. They seem to have found the holy grail.
Tbf when Moreno went through I proper thought Suarez had fecked it![]()
You know what you'll have to deal with all week now? The media will hype us up endlessly for one of those special Anfield nights.
That's the dream. top four a dream : (Would it be too greedy to ask that we win our FA Cup final, City lose in the semis, and also Liverpool do?
While also sneaking in top 4?!
Just a little greedy?
Oh those Special Anfield nights, you can't beat them![]()
He is coming across as clueless. The bloke even played in La Liga.Mcmanamammana is gutted. Trying to be bullish but he's even forgetting to over exaggerate his scouse accent he's that pissed off.

So, Owen and McMannananananaman say Villarreal had the better chances and more of the play but, Liverpool were the better team and deserved it?!
Any chance they could NOT have two Liverpool ambassadors next time?
Yeah no doubt. Klopp got it wrong tonight. We'll see if we can turn it around. Villarreal are tough to break down.I understand he's looking after him with his injury problems, but surely he has to come on after 60mins?
Watch how 'special' it'll be if Villarreal go 1-0 up early. Not sure I see us scoring three against their defence.Oh those Special Anfield nights, you can't beat them![]()
McManaman is the pro version of @Twigginater ...
Convinced the guy on the right fixed my Sky satellite before
Same after Villareal's shite freekick.I turned it off on the 90th![]()
Villarreal won't fall apart like Dortmund did when they shit their pants. A stingy defence that's only bettered by Barca and Atletico in Spain, and nothing in their Europa form to suggest it will happen.
This trophy is absolutely going back to Spain.
He's been using him once a week to keep him fresh but he came off today because he was ill apparently. I doubt he'll play against Swansea on Sunday but he has to start the second leg next week with Sturridge if we're to have any chance of progressing. What's with klopp taking continuous off quite a lot lately? I rate him as your best player and he seems to get subbed or start on the bench an awful lot lately!
Bailly would be a big loss. Hope its nothing too serious. They've potentially lost their best CB (Dailly) to a hammo. Its like Dortmund losing Hummels before facing us in the second leg. And they hate playing away.

I'm not so sure he did get it wrong. The defence, and Ming especially with two superb saves, were actually bloody good yesterday and Villareal were for the most part, easily contained. Villareal are not some bang-average team and most on here favoured them to beat us over two legs so why did they look so average ? Because even with our injury stricken squad we still managed to nullify them and eventually increase our control of the game, which should be put down to Klopp's tactics.Yeah no doubt. Hopefully Mussachio comes back.Bailly would be a big loss. Hope its nothing too serious.

Had Klopp brought on Sturridge at the beginning of the 2nd, when we lost Coutinho at HT due to sickness, and pushed Firmino and Lallana played wide (actually Firmino spent most of the match wide right anyway which greatly contributed to our lack of goal threat) then we may even have gone on to win. Overall we maybe had the better chances (Allen, Firmino, Moreno and Lallana wrongly given offside and what would have been a cert penalty) up until the last 15 mins. All conjecture now though.
We shouldn't forget that naturally Klopp's team selection was based on what team/formation could give us the best result and that missing Can, Origi, Henderson and Sakho (in addition to long term casualties Gomez & Ings) forced his hand somewhat. Playing with Sturridge from the start might have seen us giving up more possession .. but increased our goal threat. That was the choice and his decision almost worked out. I'll never understand why so many of our players were surging forward in the last minute of the game when a very creditable draw was a given had our FBs and Lucas held back.
You're a tad over-rating Villareal. They are in a good position in Spain but they are still the 4th best team in a 3 team league. They had no real pace, nor even strength to bother our makeshift backline. Apart from two harmless nutmegs Denis Suarez was ordinary. Markovic ordinary. And they have Soldado as their senior experienced player. We gave them too much respect and paid for it. I would have taken a 2-1 loss as long as we gave it a go.
We still have a decent shot at winning the tie but it isn't because Klopp produced a good first leg.
