Chelsea vs Spurs

Apart from the dembele eye poke I think Spurs attitude has been spot on

Reminds me of old Utd games with Keane flying around

TBH, you need a bit of that dirtyness (aggression) near the top of the league.
Though Spurs are winning 2-0 and still have a slim slim hoping. Missing Ali and Dembele for the rest of the season wont help them.

And they are a much better team for it whether we like it or not. Spurs were the one side you could count on rolling over during years gone by, not anymore.
If the referee was doing his job they'd be down to 9 men, how is that a good thing?

There's a difference between having a bit of fight in the side and kicking someone on the ground and trying to gouge someone's eye. Both bitch actions and I hope they get banned.

Good on Spurs, they're right at it, really wound up by Poch for this, and playing some really good stuff.

Anyone who is happy with LvG (Empire and Santiago where are you) need to look at Pochettino in this match, that's what I want see, raw passion backed up by talent, the passiveness of Lvg is just embarrassing compared to this.

The assistant must have seen the eye poke, fecking coward wouldn't let the ref know about it.

Clattenburg books Rose in the first five minutes and we'd have a very different game. Not that I'm complaining; everyone running around like mad men has made for great viewing.

what will costa do next? getting his eyeball goo on an innocent dembele really leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

Sorry not comparable. Our behavior more manly than this Spurs' pettiness. Yes. Spurs is passionate today.

Poch invaded the pithc is not allowed by rule book nor acceptable in fight in football match. He grab Chelsea player instead of his player. What if in the heat Willian misplace his body part and got sent off? Let the man solve their problem. And get the hold of your own people only.

Kicking player on the floor is not manly.

I didn't not know United before 1996 so I couldn't command on that, but can't remember us trying those.

You obviously don't remeber the days of Hughes, Cantona and Keane kicking the shite out of teams at times

Even after that era some of our games with arsenal were more violent that this

Dembele will. This is a derby and tackles are gonna fly about. Football is a physical game people tend to forget. This is exactly the game Spurs would have folded in down the years but they now are a much more feistier, physical team under Poch and are a much better side for it.

That's all nonsense, it being a derby and a 'physical game' don't justify kicking someone after you've already knocked them over and the ball is out of play. That's not 'tackles flying about', it's being a dick.

It has less to do with mentality and more to with the fact that they're just a much better team than Chelsea.

When was the last time Spurs were this many league places above Chelsea, for example?

Hiddink used to be a coach renowned for tactical and defensive nous in organization.

I think his time here has been very disappointing. Second time around was going to be different because he took over near the relegation zone and a weak minded group compared to the first but still, there's not really been a pattern over these 4 or 5 months that has seen them improve. Of course they were going to move up the table because they're fecking champions but he's just turned the defeats into a lot of draws.

It's being physical and their attitude has been spot on for me. But some don't like the physical side and want a game of no contact and you're one of them clearly so that's fine.

Kicking someone when they're on the floor is fine?
