Manchester United POTY awards 2015/2016

But back then we had a competent manager who took no sh*te from anyone

Yep, wasn't just him though. The whole club, Gill & Co had the clubs image pretty squeaky clean.

Imagine the current clowns in the Rooney, Giggs, Suarez/Evra shit storms.

This cnut knows he can get away with anything and that's why he's taking the piss.

Wtf is wrong with LVG!!! Who even says that the player wanted to leave etc. when presenting him with an award!

Only surprised that Louis didn't take credit for Dave staying. "So I got that goin' for me..."

The whole De Gea situation would have never been commented on or ever mentioned after the transfer window finished under Fergie. The whole Ronaldo fiasco was put to bed quite quickly.

Good that Leicester won. The media will now be otherwise engaged and hopefully won't pay attention to the embarrassment tonight.

I remember at the same time last year being absolutely pumped up after VG speech and was even conned into believing we might win the league:(:(:(.

Can't believe how wrong I was and what a car crash fraud of a manager LvG is! The sooner we get rid of this parasite is better!

Exactly. Its basically he is reminding him and his girlfriend about what happened despite him signing a contact extension. He should have rather just praised him for saving his job!

What happened?
Just agreeing with someone about something. Nothing to worry about. Sounds like LVG's staying but we don't know if that's the way it is or it's just the booze talking...

Some of you guys are actually pathetic I love it

Defining the club by a player of the year speech where everybody is pissed and is always a laugh. laughable

Videos, need videos. Where can I watch all these marvellously awkward moments?

Nothing like having your drunk boss embarass your top employee in front of everyone...

Have a glass of water and take a few deep breaths. Then get indignant about something significant like our rubbish football.

Why do you guys care so much about this nonsense

If he made a fool of himself whilst confirming he was leaving - we'd be ecstatic. Otherwise, well...

Because it exposes the manner in which he manages his squad - with little or no respect for them as people, and is totally unprofessional. It's also embarrassing to the club.

nice one, likely just reminded DDG he could be 90 mins from winning the champions league with Madrid. Probably now have a mare at wembley

Apparently they just managed to drag him offstage as he started to sing Putting on the Ritz.

Embarrassing that he pointed out that De Gea wanted to leave because his girlfriend lives in Madrid.

Isn't that just a factual statement. I like De Gea but he did want to leave so I don't get what the fuss is about.

LVG compared pulling hair with sex the other day, what do people expect.

Quite simply if you value you're employees you don't embarrass them by raising contentious issues in front of other staff members and the media, especially when they're receiving an award.

There's literally nothing LVG could have said tonight that wouldn't have seen him get criticized. The notion that what he said has somehow embarrassed the club is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody really cares.

Did anyone expect LvG to give any hint that he was leaving? The man is as arrogant and delusional as they come, he will believe he's doing a great job and any faults are others not his.

The awards night has always been a bit of a fud, hasn't it? There's probably more interest in it now that we're shite than ever before.

Because it would be great to enter a thread without seeing the latest preposterous example of lvg failings. There's plenty to hammer him with without resorting to a tabloid level of interpretation and outrage. It's amusing to watch, but irritating as threads are saturated with drivel. The site currently reads like a YouTube comments section

What a difference a year makes, eh? Remember when last year when he was unanimously praised on here for that godawful drunken, incoherent mess of a speech

Thanks for this..

I'm not sure what was worse, the awkwardness of the LVG/DDG exchange about wife or girlfriend, or the absolutely pissed fan asking him to say "Loui van gaals red army" and then saying "the fans really respect you" what an idiot.

Just seen a couple clips on the Utd Twitter. The awards are always such a cringefest, awkward presenting, shit 2010 music being played as they walk up and then dull as f*ck questions followed by shite generic answers where the players look as excited as a doorknob.

Isn't this an event arranged, where it could only be further away from our next game if it took place immediately after the final whistle against Leicester, solely so the players/staff can get hammered?

So, naturally, we've got posters analysing every line said like it's a piece of A-Level English literature set text.

Van Gaal saying what he did about Madrid and De Gea seems like he was trying to antagonise the club and/or fans. Perhaps it's something a manager who knows he's getting sacked would say, as a feck you to the club?

Either way, Van Gaal is an all round tool.
