Only Martial, DdG and Smalling are good enough for a top 4 team.
What I've been saying, kind of.
Too many shitty buys in a team that's been majorly overhauled. How much have we spent in the last 3 years alone and this is what we have to show for it?
We don't deserve 4th place. I'll take it mind you. We need City to lose but we have to beat the mighty Bournemouth FC too, which isn't nailed on.

It turns out it's not the hope that kills you, it's Marcos pissing Rojo. Same old shower of shit, different night.
And Blind, and Herrera, and Valencia. Oh and Schneiderlin. Rooney, too.

So yeah.

presenter on the westham stadium send off or what ever the feck you call it, just mocked De Gea saying 'news just in, De Gea wants his ball back' prick

Even the Januzaj sub had resemblances to the Nick Powell sub at Wolfsburg. He never learns, he's quite possibly the worst manager in all the leagues and yet the biggest club in England want to keep him because he says he's one of the best managers in the world!

Sack him before the FA Cup final.

It was scandalous. He shows no faith in him whatsoever since his return, that's fair enough. But to bang him on with 5 minutes to go out of sheer desperation is just pathetic.

Our players must be the dumbest in the league. Herrera takes the award tonight. West Ham at good at set pieces, we can't defend and we kept them away. It's insane

Hold on, West Ham just said the U21s won the Premier League for the U21s in this after match ceremony type thing. I thought United won that?

Bayern Munich are already signing all the players we talk about in the transfer forums and they play in red so redcafe works. Any chance we can quickly, overnight make it seem like this has been always been a Bayern forum?

Absolutely classless that lot. Disgusting club. Hope they get relegated next season!

Marcus Rojo is worse than Varela. He's one of the worst players I've seen for us.

It beggars belief when you think we lost both Vidic and Ferdinand and haven't signed a single proper CB since.

Ironically I don't see how they can be now. Surely they can only judge on what time we get to the ground, not what time we get to the next street? And being late to the ground can be put down to being attacked.

I totally agree. But theres a big difference between what should happen and what does happen.

Disappointed. The United players showed courage, and played well at times. Unlike some in here I felt genuinely sorry for the lads. We missed Fellaini for the aerial stuff, though Smalling did his best. De Gea will be gutted about their winner, but he has had a great season. We committed too many daft fouls; just a factor of the fact that they were massively up for this, they competed like their lives depended on it. Still, we scored two terrific goals, I was going mental when we got our second. Rooney and Martial did brilliant in the move to put us 2-1 up, thought if we could nick another one we might have nicked it. Weird game in a frenzied atmosphere, really hard to judge in a way. That stuff attacking the bus by the West Ham fans (and the WH reaction to it) was shameful. Let's hope City feck up at Swansea, wouldn't put it past them.

Really don't know how you can come to that conclusion.

Macari is tearing lvg a new one. He said that when things go wrong the manager takes the can and that United should be aiming to scrap for 4th place

According to David Sullivan, there was no attack on the coach. Not sure what to say about that, really.
West Ham co-Chairman David Sullivan played down the incident, telling BBC Radio 5 live that their opponents should have arrived earlier.
From the BBC Sport website :

He said: "It is depressing really, it will be a late night for our fans and some of them won't be able to stay.

"I don't understand why United couldn't get here at 4pm. They could have got here early. They knew it would be busy. It's crazy.

"There was congestion in the street and they couldn't get the coach in. There were people around the coach, but there was no attack on the coach.

"If you check the coach there won't be any damage to it. If we arrived late at Old Trafford they wouldn't put the kick-off back."

An extremely disappointing, although somewhat predictable, result. Aside from Martial, there really was very little to get even remotely excited about. In truth, we didn't deserve the lead, even for the short time we had it. I firmly believe that teams become a reflection of their Managers. For years under Sir Alex, even when the squad wasn't at its best, we showed grit, determination and desire to win. That just seems completely absent under Van Gaal. He really has ripped the soul out of these players (who are not blameless by any means) and our club. West Ham were obviously going to be up for it today, and the first 10 or 15 minutes were going to be hectic, but they ran our show all game long. This is a West Ham team that has had a decent season by their standards, but is far from elite. Just a few days ago they got thrashed. It's the same as the Everton game in the FA Cup. We squeaked past them. Look what Leicester did to them this past weekend. We're extremely mediocre. There's seemingly so little passion and leadership, it's hard to fathom. That's a problem which starts with the Manager, in my opinion. The team absolutely choked today. Very, very disheartening.

Yey another Bundesliga title! Bayern rule, Dortmund drool.

Is it working?

Coach attacked by West Ham fans on the way in.

Probably going to be attacked by United fans on the way out.

FC BAYERN! this has been by far the best four minutes of the season so far. Guardiola's a bit of a twit isn't he, maybe? not fully sure how we feel.

Gutted tbh,
The whole events of today and media / marketing bullshit just made me really, really want to beat them, apart from the obvious other reasons

Our midfield is broken.
Honestly think Carrick, Fellaini and ... Hererra i guess (based on 5 games from a year ago, hes been pretty poor this season).
are our best midfield despite being distinctly mediocre.
Every other combination basically has even more glaring weaknesses than it.

Schneiderlin is pretty limited on the ball, you play carrick with him and your too defensive (made even worse by our billion number 10's being a bit rubbish). Dont and the ball wont go past the half way line / our back 4 unless it gets hoofed forward.
You'd expect Schweinsteiger to work quite well with him but they never hit it off or looked comfortable together and our attacking play was even more limited than with carrick. Hes never available regardless so it doesn't matter much.

Herrera has gone backwards badly. He gives the ball away lots and give fk's away lots. His passing has gone down the toilet, he creates very little and he just isn't getting in the box or pitching in with goals as he did last season. Hes just not offering anything this season.

Fellaini still gets misused imo. Hes a number 10 who went through a really bad scoring patch over christmas missing half a dozen sitters.
Hes terrible as an 8 or a 6
But hes still great on set pieces, he can still hold the ball up, he still adds a physical presence to a fairly lightweight team -which makes him better than our other options as it compliments carrick who's our best midfielder by a mile (still). And he has a better attitude and reacts better to adversity than most of our squad.

Matas ok cover. Too limited, too lightweight, too prone to being anonymous.

You could probably create a reasonably able midfield starting with hererra or schneiderlin going forward but neither has done anywhere near enough to suggest you wouldn't want to replace them in the medium term.

Feels a bit like last season - we have lineups with Falcao, Van Persie, Rooney and Di Maria and everyone expects us to win matches 4-0 or whatever.
This season we buy the 'schmidfield' and we thought we were going to completely dominate every midfield in the league.
We haven't - we've had lots of possession, feck all chances and the odd time the other team does get the ball they always look dangerous.

How many chnaces did we feck up this year? Every time our opponents slipped, we fecked up too. We are absolutely shambolic and embarrassing. The whole club, the coaching team and the players shsould be ashamed of themselves and the season they had.

You boys were intimidated tonight. They were always going to be up against it tonight at the last game at the Boleyn.

That was always going to happen (see my earlier post on the subject).

Your coach should have got their early missing the crowd.

It's not over for CL qualification though.

Swansea are no pushovers and City could easily come unstuck.

That bus video summed it all up for me. Immature idiots who aren't of the standards of this club on and off the pitch.

Shithouse defending against shithouse tactics.

Honestly a Sunday league side with more than a bit of wobble about them would deal better with West Ham's set plays than we do. What happens when you play with a back four that only contains one competent defender who can win a header.

Gutted, but I didn't think we'd make it even after Martial's second goal. We were just too shite to hold on, but still...it was a kick in the balls. We got beaten deservedly, though. We were actually battered and had about a couple of goalscoring chances all thanks to Martial (compared to West Ham's 20+), whose genius isn't enough to compensate for the useless manager and the brainless, spineless and downright shit players around him.

It was yet another embarrassment under Van Gaal. We played like a Championship team battling relegation. Just look at the f*cking stats! Depressing.

We're just laughably shit apart from Martial and De Gea. The defence was....I'm just lost for fecking words. What the f*ck was that?! Blind, Rojo, Valencia, Herrera, Schneiderlin and Rooney can feck right off! Someone already said it, but I fully agree - you could count the players worthy of playing for Manchester United on your hand. And don't even get me started on the fecking manager.

Almost perfectly summed up our season that.

- Loss away from home? Check.
- Being outplayed for a long period and lucky not to concede more? Check.
- Martial single-handedly having to carry our attack? Check.
- Ridiculously bad defending from set pieces? Check.
- Had a golden opportunity to catch up with/get past our rivals, but failed? Check.
- Low scoring game? Fail.

Oooo, so close. Almost a bit disappointing...

I am as pissed off as the next guy, but we must of given away about 20 set pieces around the box and conceeded from 2. We done better than I thought we would against a very physically strong West Ham team. Our problem was giving away too many fouls

Schneiderlin should have walked his dog around the pitch for that first half, at least he'd have done something useful.
