OT EVACUATED | Device signed as having been recovered, could NOT be detected by sniffer dogs

I don't see how people are blaming the club for this? Redcafe is something else.

Do you believe that the club should allow blanket and unsupervised access to any company, even if it's a security firm, to Old Trafford? And do you believe that our pre match checks are sufficient given this was only found after people entered the stadium? That's where the club is, in my view, to be viewed badly.

Personally think a lot of positives can be taken from today.

The stewards and police had a genuine practice in how to deal with this type of situation, and I'd say they handled it very well.

The reaction will be brilliant when we lose out on a player in the summer because we wouldn't pay an extra £3m.

The only party to be faulted imo is the company that left their shit at OT and forgot about it. Club, police, military, stewards have all executed their tasks perfectly well, fale alarm or not. Better safe than sorry. There's no fecking around in today's times, especially after France and attacks near PdP.

But yeah, it pretty much sums up our season  To be absolutely fair being late twice for the matches was more embarrassing.

Neither of which were our fault but do carry on regardless.

What part of 'employee' do you not comprehend? It makes no difference if it's a separate company or Old Trafford staff. If we chose to employ them to do our security, we're responsible for the fake bombs they leave laying around.
 you clearly don't know what an employee is and yet you're trying to be condescending to him ffs

Great gesture by the club to refund everybody. 3m is no matter to be sniffed at. No doubt they feel as bad as anybody this has happened.

Ok.

My two shekels worth.

Someone fecked up and it all looks a bit daft for those concerned. Take it on the chin. What was the other alternative ? The worst ? Exactly .
Yep.
who's this complete bellend?
"Journalist" for the MEN. Wanted us to be fined for turning late to West Ham.

It's kind of funny to think they were training to find this exact bomb in this exact place and after their training it went unnoticed for 4 days.

They obviously didn't use "Allah Akbar!" during the training for genuine authenticity.

Can't disagree with this. The two things must be separated. 1) How it got there and how it wasn't spotted, which is where something clearly went wrong. 2) The actions upon discovery which should and must be commended.

The only embarrassing thing is you lot trying to use this to push your fecking agendas

It's very worrying that something like this was allowed to happen.

At least we now know our security isn't up to scratch and it didn't taken a terrible tragedy to work it out.

On a lighter note I'd imagine attendance on Tuesday will be terrible which, if any more hints are needed, will show Woodward that the fans want Van Gaal out.

Easy mistake to make, IMO.

Yep and clubs will no doubt review how regularly and rigorously they sweep their stadiums between games.

So is your post.

Hardly. Late for Tottenham, didn't beat the crowds for West Ham and planted our own bomb.

The West Ham one is borderline but at the end of the day we should have arrived at 4pm the night before and slept in the dressing room to be safe.

It is true if you wish to be technical - employing a contractor has a different tax and liability status from employing an individual - but they're still employees in the broader sense of the term. And the employer is equally responsible for their actions. The big difference is that the club can sue the company for compensation.

On one hand you have to laugh at the Naked Gun level farce this has been and be grateful that it didn't turn out to be something sinister, but the fact it went unnoticed for 4 days is worrying.

Easy mistake to make, IMO.

I don't actually agree with the point being made in that it could easily have been found but the person neglected to remove it. The second tweet made me laugh, though.
