With all the billions of money they're likely to earn from hosting two or three NFL matches in their stadium, I think it's set in stone that Spurs will be dominating English football for a considerable period of time.
The trends have spoken, it is known.
They're playing CL games at Wembley next season.
Then all games after that
And ALL games there in 2017/18. Which means United PL attendance record will go that season.
EDIT: or not.... Apparently there will be a reduced capacity of 60,000

Arsenal did the same in the 98/99 and 99/00 seasons, which ended in exits in the group stage on both occassions, the only times that have happened under Wenger. Their results there was pretty woeful:

The 98/99 groupstages were really difficult with only 8 teams going through to the quarterfinal and Kiev was clearly a superior side to Arsenal that season. No shame in finishing behind them, they kicked out Madrid and outplayed us in the semifinal with Kahn saving our ass countless times. They were the best side we faced that season and yes, that includes the treble winning United team. Lobanovskyi's last great team, would have been a fitting end to his career if they won the CL.
Arsenal did feck up in 99/00 by finishing only 3rd, but they went on to reach the UEFA Cup final with pretty dominant performances if I remember correctly? At least I think that was the season when Galatasaray won the penalty shootout against Arsenal in the final?
They still only finished 3rd in their group in the 98/99 season with Lens taking 2nd place, so they would've been out under the current format anyway. In the 99/00 season they only played their CL games at Wembley, while they moved back to Highbury for the UEFA Cup games and made it to the final.

Unless its a big game no team can fill in 75k seats. Even United are 2-3k short on most game days.
Don't you mean they were the side that gave Bayern more trouble. One particular side being a tougher opponent for one team doesn't necessarily make them better than another team.
Besides you didn't exactly do well against United that year either. Scraped a draw at home thanks to a last minute OG, got a draw at OT when it suited both sides. And we know what happened in the final despite United missing arguably their two best players and having to play Giggs and Beckham out of position.
Expect most, if not all, our PL games record an attendance of over 74,000.

Those numbers come from ticket sales actually. There's always 2-5% empty seats at most grounds on most match days.
Unless its a big game which no one wants to miss or its etihad where the attendence is always 100% with fans camouflaged as sky blue seats.
Been in my hols, very happy with the 3rd place and automatic group stage which is much more than we thought in August.
Really not bothered about the last couple of games and as I said after the Chelsea game I didn't care whether we finished 2nd or 3rd as the prize is the same.
Now we need a good window.

I have no idea, I don't take too much notice of the press in the windows as 99.9% is just made up. We are linked strongly with Batshuayi, Witsel and Wanyama plus a few others but we'll see. It's pretty obvious what we need so a CF and a CM are certainties and likely a wide forward as well.
You could add the Dutch striker Janssen to that list - Poch went to see him play the other day. Aged 21, scored 27 goals in 34 appearances last season for AZ Alkmaar. Shouldn't be too expensive and would I'm sure jump at the chance to come and play for Spurs in the Prem under Poch.
Yep I saw that link, I think because he was at the Republic Holland game and the press were just guessing, first it was Long and then Janssen so who knows.
I'm pretty sure it was Janssen he was watching - we've scouted him a lot before. He fits the profile for Poch, but Long (aged 29) doesn't.

If you're referring to Arsenal I seriously couldn't care less, made no difference to me at all. This is something that's become a lot more important to you than it is to us, certainly me anyway, 2nd/3rd makes no odds as the prize is the same.
If you think otherwise then you can dig up a post from anywhere where I said it did when it looked like we would finish 2nd, then I'll hold my hands up to being bothered by it.
After such an utterly embarrassing capitulation you cannot deny that deep down it really hurts, no one will ever believe your denials.

Personally I don't give a shit who we finish behind, just how many. If you don't win it then you have to finish 2nd or 3rd, if you can't do that then 4th, if not that then I'm really not sure it matters from there on in unless the unthinkable happens.
Plus I think it was a smart move as we aren't the club who lost out on a league title to Leicester, It's Arsenal who have that dubious honour, no wonder they are so happy. It's strange with Arsenal and their fans, they were once a club that had ambition, nowadays they are only concerned about top 4 and Tottenham, to be honest I think we now have more ambition than they do.

Losing 5 - 1 to a relegated side, with nothing to play for, that were down to 10 men no-less... In a game where only a draw would suffice to finally, after two decades, finish above your most hated rivals in what would be considered the best season in recent memory from Spurs supporters. All those years of being in the shadows, all those years of torment, finally having months of giving it large to all Gooners. This was going to be a glorious day, until it wasn't.
Unfortunately for Arsenal we were out of the race long ago, Spurs however weren't (to their credit) until the last four games. Only one side 'lost-out' in the title race with Leicester, which was the side that were pushing them until the last four games. Whilst I wish I could say it was us, it certainly wasn't, so deny it all you want but you're having a laugh.
Honestly bud it seems to matter much much more to you, maybe it's the sign of the times as an Arsenal fan. The 'smart' bit was obviously tongue in cheek but you should be happy with your best finish for a number of years as we are with ours, and if it wasn't for Leicester you would be champions now.

As a United fan it is always horrible to finish behind teams, but it hurts even more if those teams are City and/or Liverpool, over say an Arsenal or Chelsea due to the massive rivalry we have with those teams.
I always thought the rivalry between Spurs and Arsenal was similar, maybe it is to some fans, but maybe not you. Do you think you're part of the majority of Spurs fans that don't mind finishing behind Arsenal as long as your have met/exceeded your seasons targets? Or the minority?
