As much as I maintain my opinion that Pogba plays in patches rather than dominates an entire game his signing would still be a game changer and would imo leave the rest in the PL playing catch up. Can you imagine...

Your post would be best without the line up. Seriously Blind as CB for Mourinho? If Bailly is not one of the first choice CBs then RB it is. Hard to believe Mourinho would stick with Valencia who is not natural RB thus has some serious positional/awareness issue playing RB at time. Kante Matuidi and Pogba had dynamic, workrate issue in their first match. Do you expect Rooney Carrick Pogba work for Mourinho who expect intense workrate?

tbh I find it hard to believe we won't sign another CB as I agree Blind in that position probably isn't for Mourinho and due to Bailly's age I somewhat expect him to be one more for the future

How many CMs have won their team a league? Goalscorers will always have more value than the creators. The best case of a team winning league on back of efforts of a midfielder would be Lampard, and even in that case one may argue, Drogba was more important. How many leagues would you say Kroos won on his own? And while Xavi, Iniesta, are great players, would they have won these many trophies had they not had Messi in front of them? And similar case with Scholes?
Spurs finished 3rd this season without Bale but in a much poorer league. And in Suarez's case, it was him you would credit to have taken them to where they reached. They were finishing 6th-8th places.
I like Pogba, but the price that is quoted, I feel is too high for a player who will be considered part of 'Supporting cast' of a title win
He'll simply have to be as incredible as the top attacking midfielders in the history of the PL have been from the off.
He'll barely get a settling in period at that fee without the media piling in on him.
I'm not sure he has the character to handle that kind of pressure. The Euros will be partly indicative of how much mental fortitude he has because he's got a nation expecting him to deliver, and they'll need him to if they want to progress deep into the competition.
Ironically, if he does shine, Real will gladly come in and take him.
We have to pay a premium, sure, I get that, and we're not in a position to baulk at fees if elite-level players want to come here. If Pogba meets his potential, he'd prove well worth the money.
When you get to these kind of fees, I think you want the constitution of a Ronaldo, Messi, Keane, Robson et al - players you know have the presence and charisma to play their game unaffected.
Pogba has the talent, undoubtedly, but his character to date is questionable, and that's the concern I have with him at that kind of fee.

They should arrange the meeting in room without furniture. If they remove chairs he may still have the possibility of tables. They should also be wary of beverages, nothing hot that can burn them.

Even then, there is no one that can boss the midfield. It will also mean that Schweiny will have to play a very complete B2B role every game we play. I don't think he has the legs for that. If we sub him with Carrick or Schneiderlin, then that midfield again needs tweaking, so basically we might be denying Rooney and/or Pogba a proper run of games with one specific role.
I'm not hopeful on Pogba either way. Not even sure if he would be the solution for us offensively.
My biggest gripe is not so much the fact he left, but the "dirty laundry" that was aired, from both the club and the player, after his departure.
Watford rejected £30m for Deeney. West Ham bid £40m for Lacazette. £60-80m for Pogba isn't out of the ordinary. And I'm someone that doesn't rate him that much.

. But he's a quality player and I always think one of the advantages Madrid have on us is they're a bit nuts. A player or players have to believe you'll do anything to get them to win them over sometimes. Sometimes we feel short. Like with Ramos where we made a big noise but didn't try to call their bluff by offering the money. It's a statement of intent and would be good for the club and player. He has friends here and lots to prove. Lots of things can happen so we'll have to wait an see.
He seemed to mostly have beef with Fergie though. The management that failed to keep him on is no longer in place and he's been fairly complimentary towards the club as a whole since he left.

They are all part of a team and the players you mentioned still haven't won the league yet you unsuccessfully persist with the same argument that these players have won the league. Would be better described as game changers, Xavi and Iniesta have won Barca a lot of trophies, also playing for Spain Xavi was named best player of the tournament when they won Euro 2008. Same again for both Xavi and Iniesta in 2010 when they won the World Cup and then again 2012 when they won the Euros again, all without Messi.
How many trophies would teams win without the CM players creating chances and space for the forwards to score? Pogba changed the game the other night when he came on at half time and even the match afterwards he started he was the main focal point of everything good France done. Hes not the finished article but he will improve our team and with him in the team I believe he will help the team immensely in winning trophies.

He's quality and would be a fantastic signing. I don't care what the fee is, if he's on the move we should give this our best shot.

For him professionally he needs a new challenge. The Italian league lacks the prestige, visibility and quality that it once had. He has to go to La Liga or the Premier League to get that. If I were him, I'd be planning to do both, probably use the prem as a stepping stone to one day head to Madrid. At our current level we'd be a willing stepping stone.

I'd take any top player for 4 years and then get our money back or even more from Madrid, sounds like the perfect business plan.
