Who is going to be the Next Prime Minister of the UK? | Be your stubborn best

It'll be Theresa May.

Aka THE WITCH.

She might be a good person to negotiate with the EU. After that she needs to be voted out before the jackboots come out, our human rights are reduced to shreds and the flag of Slytherin replaces the Union Jack.

Literally everything that comes out of her mouth should be considered a brazen lie until proven otherwise, which will be rare.

If Juncker means what he says about taking days to negotiate if it's a remain PM or taking seconds if it's a leave PM. It would surely be in the interest for the Tories to pick Theresa or the Crabb and Javid double act..

Gove as thrown his hat into the ring . Discrediting Boris in the process.

I don't know much about May, what's she like?

I know however that there is no chance I will vote for Boris.

Gove going for it is funny, again in a sad way. May looks like she'll get it comfortably.

I don't trust anyone in Parliament with my lunch, let alone being prime minister.

I think this might be the first thing Michael Gove has ever done that I've been happy about... As long as he doesn't win. He'll probably win now I've said that.

Gove is in, :wenger:

That's not really very good for Boris is it?
Actually its probably not that bad
Basically all the nominees are voted off x factor style by the MP's with one leaving each vote till 2 are left
It will still probably be May / Boris that get through to the final public (well conservative members) dance off

Nope. It's not so much the candidate ,but more the words that are damaging to Boris. This could be the feeling of a majority of the Tory party.

We are heading towards...

Boris drops out.

May & Gove have talks & everyone lives happily ever after. (Can start negotiating with EU at least.)

Might only have a HoC vote for appearances-sake.** The important thing, atm is to (temporarily) appease the proper LEAVE loons amongst Conservative MPs

**maybe that is just about a joke, but I wonder if they will let this reach a 2 horse race vote for the Con Party membership.

I dindt see it - did she refuse to say which way she voted but the thinks that being in the eu is a 7 out of 10?

No. But she did trot out the need to address the inequality in britain. Empty words but at least she recognised there is a problem.

Andrea Leadsom as now put her name forward. Thankfully she does not have a chance.

Looking like a winner to me too. Pretty safe bet I would think. Just might do the same.

Perhaps I should mention my betting record, which goes back 25 years, football nicely up (luck, football betting is stupid); horses slightly down (proud of that, but it's just too time-consuming to get that extra bit); politics fecking disastrous with knobs on.

 Teresa May might just be about to improve your luck. I only bet a few times a year (well in profit but it's usually horses, football I've never won) but I'm seriously thinking of putting some money on her. Never done a political bet before but I really can't see anyone beating her.

Why is everyone assuming May will beat Boris? Given Boris' "win" in the referendum i would have thought he is well out ahead?
