I know what you are getting about regarding the results.![]()
That's the 1.34-dollar question.Apologies for the simple and ignorant question but if Cameron didn't want Britain to leave, why did he offer the referendum?

Among his own party there were MP's who are anti-EU. They've been banging on for years, being a thorn in the side of every Tory leader about how bad the EU is for Britain. They can be disruptive and devisive.Apologies for the simple and ignorant question but if Cameron didn't want Britain to leave, why did he offer the referendum?

"Boris, what is this thing in my hand?"
"I don't know but apparently the plebs bathe their ferrets in it. Keep smiling."
To get in power. The conservative party were in serious danger of losing voters to UKIP. The pledge of a referendum kept and even earned the Conservatives voters in the last general election. He never thought that they would lose a simple single question vote.Apologies for the simple and ignorant question but if Cameron didn't want Britain to leave, why did he offer the referendum?
- I'm much more into football than politics.
My predictions for this year made (much) earlier
1. Mourinho becomes our manager
2. Zlatan becomes our player
3. UK suffers financial crisis if they leave the EU
What do I get for a full house
About $1.33 to the £.
That's the banking rate, tourism rate is under $1.30About $1.33 to the £.
So following Carney's statement, where by the pound is 'set' to slip and the FTSE 100 is set to do well - when should I buy my bloody euros for my holiday in 2 weeks?

Last Thursday. The thing is you're not on your own. I need Euros also and wish I'd brought them the night of the referendum. So following Carney's statement, where by the pound is 'set' to slip and the FTSE 100 is set to do well - when should I buy my bloody euros for my holiday in 2 weeks?
Excellent idea. I'll just whip out my time machine.Last November
I'll wait until just before I go unless there's a spike between now and then.Excellent idea. I'll just whip out my time machine.
Honestly it was stupid of me not to buy them even last month. I just wanna know if it's going to improve at all in the next couple of weeks?
@Fully Fledged are we going to wait it out or are we going to bite the bullet and buy them now, therefore conceding that the pound is well and truly fecked for the foreseeable future?

And if it keeps dropping and dropping?I'll wait until just before I go unless there's a spike between now and then.
I'll lose a few quid. One way or the other I can either lose or win. If I buy now and it goes up I lose if I wait and it goes down I lose. That's the problem when the pound is so volatile. And if it keeps dropping and dropping?

That's what I really don't understand about Cameron. He was so fecking confident in his own likeableness () that he even stacked the referendum against himself by not counting people who've been out of the country for 15 years or people who aren't English but have been resident here 15 years. Remarkably stupid.
The FTSE 250, the market index that focuses more on the domestic British economy, is down more than 7% from pre-Brexit levels.
