I don't get this. Is this you sarcastically laughing at that dude suggesting Pogba wouldn't walk into Spurs midfield(because he believes the likes of Ali are better) or it's simply you genuinely saying that Pogba isn't better than Ali.
Just want some clarification![]()
He is, you can be sure about that, despite what the transfer muppets are saying on here.
Pogba wil either go to Madrid (most likely, given that Zidane wants him) or stay at Juve for another season on higher wages. In the second case scenario, he will move next season and if by then Madrid/Barca are not interested United and City will fight for him (wouldn't completely exclude Bayern either).
Why? United will have CL football next season and one year without playing in the competition is not going to kill him.
Different situation as Pogba probably has designs on the Ballon D'or.Much like the other 3 players we have signed.
Money talks.

I explained above. In the second case scenario (i.e. if Madrid don't sign him this summer and he stays at Juve) he could move next summer to his preferred option then. Should he move now to United, he blocks the dream move to La Liga for 4 years at least. Why do this? For more money? But he will get a ot of money to stay for another year at Juve too and he could get a lot of money next summer when he eventually moves. Next year he will have more options to choose from.
In other words, the options are not Madrid or United. Staying at Juve for another season is a very good option for him.
Why would Madrid or Barca be willing to pay Juventus asking price next year but not this year? That makes no sense.I explained above. who the hell told you that is his dream move? He has never said such nonsense. His dream move is moving back to manchester. You don't have to make stuff up to prove a point.

You could have made this exact post last summer when Barca backed out of the deal at the last minute themselves.
At this rate Poba would be eying retirement as he waits for his move to Spain.

Pay him what he wants and stroke his ego by telling him what he wants to hear.
Even if we have to publicly flog Fergie to appease him, just get it done!
Please keep this thread about Paul Pogba.
What if he blows his knee out this year? Or Zidane gets sacked and another manager wants other players?
If he turns down a move to United - which he might, because he thinks Madrid might come back for him next year, then he's taking a risk. He'll no doubt be offered massive wages as well as being the poster boy for the biggest club in the most watched league in the world. More than that, he'll have a team built around him - not be second fiddle to Ronaldo and Bale. The commercial rewards are potentially huge.
Talk about wishful thinking.Wishful thinking reigns in this thread.
It makes perfect sense for Real/Barca to wait another year because it is not clear yet whether Pogba is the next big thing or just an overhyped young star.
As to whether Pogba dreams to play for Barca/Real, well, even Bale was dreaming about that. You must be sort of a very strange guy not to, because, let's face it for a moment, Real and Barca are the pinnacle of world football and La Liga is a better league than the EPL for super stars: the likes of Messi, Suarez, Neymar, Ronaldo, Iniesta, Modric, Bale etc. Take off for a moment the rosy tinted glasses and see reality for what ot is. Currently, United are down the pecking order and Pogba will come here only if the very best teams do not want him. It's that simple.
I would say it would appeal to his ego that he will walk back into the club after 4 years for a massive transfer fee and wages as one of the main men at the club after feeling he was not appreciated 1st time roundI agree in some ways there should be some inclination.
Doubt it, you are either interested or you aren't. You say make me an offer? then from that point you negotiate wages.
Transfers personal terms and wages are the last part of the negotiation.
I'm personally quite cynical over the deal, I don't believe a marketing agency is a major source but I hope it's a case of me being proved wrong.
Pogba is one of the biggest egos in football in my eyes, and will he swallow that ego to come back to a club he left on bad terms?
The absolute state of that second paragraph..Pogba GIVEN A CHANCE in Spurs midfield?
It's not clutching at straws in regards to what has been said for this transfer. United are willing to meet the asking price while Barca and Real are not. Real have a great midfield currently with Kroos and Modric and in the next 2-3 years I don't think it requires strengthening. If they are to replace a big name in the squad that would be Ronaldo.OK, clutch at straws as long as you want.
I'm all for signing Pogba, I like him and we should tryto get him. But it won't happen.
Talk about wishful thinking.
So another year watching Pogba dominate the same opponents in the same league that hes been dominating fot the last 4 years would prove what exactly?
What happens if tbe Spanish big 2 don't want him next season? Wait another year?[/QUOTE]

Apart from those 2 teams what are Pogba's options really? PSG? I doubt he'll move to France. City/Chelsea aren't exactly much better than us at the moment. Bayern won't pay the asking price and that's it.
Real are a team that is fickle on the next big thing and they will take the one that has the best season currently. That and the idea behind strengthening the midfield where they probably have the best duo for a world record fee is what has us in pole position IMO.
And is in his prime. Pepe has had one of his best seasons and Varane still can't displace him and will be 34 in 6 months.Modric turns 31 in 2 months...
Pogba(although I don't think he deserves that high fee) is much better than either of your first team midfielders. What's the guarantee Alli or Dembele will be good again this season? Or Kane given he looked like a pub player at the EURO's.The alternative is to guarantee someone a starting slot in your best XI simply because they cost a lot of money or are a 'big name'. There should be no guarantees for anyone in my view - they either perform and play well or else they are dropped to the bench.
So if Pogba (or whoever, in this hypothetical scenario) were to demonstrate that they deserve to displace Dembele or Alli, then fair enough. However, both the latter two had an outstanding season last time around for Spurs, so displacing them is no gimme for anyone ... especially for a player that would still need to show that they adapt well to the Prem.
I remember that di Maria and Schweinsteigger were previously hailed on here as galactico signings to be envied by clubs like Spurs, with much talk of a title-winning team etc etc. Well, it didn't work out that way, so those who are now calling for £100m to be spent on Pogba - and building him up far beyond what he's shown so far - should be less gung-ho IMO.
And is in his prime. Pepe has had one of his best seasons and Varane still can't displace him and will be 34 in 6 months.
Scholes, Pirlo, Xavi? Besides if Pogba goes to Real he won't compete with Modric but with Kroos. He's not a playmaker but box to box. These are defenders, not midfielders though. There are many examples of players who are good in their 30ies and many examples of players who decline after turning 30.
The most important thing is wehther Zidane wants him. If that's the case, then maybe, just maybe, you are making some mistake here.
But you haven't answered why they would bid the required amount next year but not this year. Juve aren't suddenly going to lower their asking price.
You're confusing dreaming of going to Spain with preference of going to Spain.
Barca weren't prepared to meet his demands last year and didn't go back in for him this year. Madrid released a statement (!) last year saying they weren't in for him and aren't prepared to meet the asking price this summer.
How he and Raiola would think staying at Juve in the hope next year will be different is ridiculous quite frankly. Especially since Perez isn't a big fan of Pogba and there being a transfer ban in place.
@Treble
I answerd it, read above. It makes perfect sense for them to wait another year also because they do not need him that much now, Modric and Iniesta are still good, next summer they will be 32-33 though and both clubs may need new players in midfield.
Very different situation at that. Ibra is near retirement and Mkhi is not a player to attract any interest form Real/Barca.
