I'm not opposing this transfer a priori, but my stance regarding it depends on the final fee.
Agree. Not that it's my money but if we're looking how BEST to spend the available funds you have to question the transfer given the figures quoted.
£80 million(or whatever) for an attacking midfielder who only scored 10 goals last season. Playing in Italy. Worth remembering that Roy Keane, in a two man midfield, with loads more defensive responsibility was topping that.
He's a very good player but there must surely be a midfielder in the world who can get you 10 goals and his assists for £40 million. Otherwise what's happened to football?
