Is the correct answer. Unless Remain were something like 80-20 ahead in the polls throughout the campaign then to not give due consideration to the possibility of Leave coming out on top is laughable in the extreme.
As for Farage, I don't think it's occurred to some Remainers that he's not even a friggin' MP so how on earth they thought he would be involved in any post-Brexit planning/negotiating is completely and utterly beyond a thick twat of a Leave voter such as myself
Anyway, speaking of lies and scaremongering when is Osborne calling his emergency budget? Will we indeed see 2p slapped on income tax? Is the UK truly at the back of the imaginary line that Obama made reference to? Have holidays to Spain tripled in price yet? Are UK citizens barred from living and working in 27 EU countries after all? When is WW3 breaking out?

Seriously I think that its time for the UK politicians to acknowledge theelephant in the room and say "Well we messed up, the leaver campaign lied and resigned because of it and we would be absolutely stupid to leave the EU". The EU can provide Britain with an e-way by promising them more 'sovereignty' (a ridiculous deal similar to the one Westminister gave to Scotland after the referendum) which would keep nationalists happy for some time.
It wouldn't be a bad idea to reintroduce the hung, drawn and quartered punishment for a little while doing it. Populations tend not to be happy with quitters and liars and they may demand blood
Plenty of leavers I know are far from stupid. They just voted with their hearts without bothering to look into the arguments. Lazy as feck, essentially. Which isn't all that surprising given life is hard enough and why it should never have been a referendum in the first place.
The problem here is that they have a solution but it won't be liked by the Leavers.

Labour - Civil war and a party split looking likely obviously underlying problems existed but 7/10 and not confirming which way he voted have certainly not helped Corbyn

The solution is not to invoke Article 50
But that very act, is stupid. Anybody who makes a decision that impacts on their futures, their kids futures etc in a significant way without bothering to look into the arguments is an idiot. They may be highly intelligent in other areas, but it doesn't change the way they handled this.

If article 50 hasn't been invoked yet, how do you expect all of that to happen.
Also I don't see why David Cameron should be forced to prepare plans for running the country in the aftermath of an exit, the task is huge and it is something he was not in favour of.. his challenge to the Brexiters was do you have a plan in place if we vote out. Well we voted out and as we have seen for ourselves, they had no fecking plan. Even if he had given due consideration to us voting out, which I am sure he did.. he must have reached the conclusion that he wouldn't even know where to begin such is the size of the task in front of him.
Ignoring the vote is not a solution, it's the lack of a solution.

Errrr, not so fast. If you think holidays to Spain will triple in price and our citizens will be barred from living and working in 27 countries upon activation of article 50 and our subsequent exit from the EU then you need to give your head a wobble. We probably won't see an increase in income tax either, given Osborne's comments the other day. And as for WW3, you're having a laugh mate.
You will simply activate article 50 and cherry pick which deal you want because you're British and everyone will just roll over and die at your sight.
I also get the impression that all politicians will flee the UK so that they don't have to take responsibility for the chaos that will happen when or if Article 50 is invoked - "nothing to do with me , mate "
Seriously, what is that post meant to mean in relation to what I said? Whatever deal we negotiate with the EU, I can pretty much guarantee the following:
Holidays in Spain for UK citizens will not triple in price
UK citizens will not be barred from living and working in the other 27 countries that make up the EU
EU citizens that currently live and work in the UK will not be sent back to their native countries
WW3 will not break out as a result of Brexit - it may well break out as a result of something else but certainly not Brexit
The UK will not be at the back of Obama's imaginary line

The emergency budget was postponed until article 50 is actually invoked, which is why that hasn't happened. We can't join a queue to negotiate trade deals whilst we're still in the EU and so that's why that hasn't happened. There isn't yet any restrictions on freedom of movement because we're still in the EU so that hasn't happened. The pound has dropped like a stone but yes it will get worse when (if) we actually do leave so holidays already have increased in price and will continue to do so.

Look, we're just over one week in after the result was announced - anybody with half a brain cell could see that our currency would take a hit immediately in the aftermath of a Brexit vote. It would've been advisable for anyone going on holiday any time soon to get their currency before the vote was cast.

The referendum was stupid. However if the leave campaign campaigns for something then you expect them to have a plan of action to turn theory into practice. After all the leave campaign is also made of politicians

I didn't buy currency because I naively didn't think >50% of the population would be so stupid and shortsighted. My mistake, and it looks set to make everything on my upcoming trip at least 10% more expensive. That's not the big issue though, my view isn't so self-absorbed as to be centred around the cost of a dollar.
