This isn't Thailand. We're going to have to cough up more than $120 to get his attention. To be fair, I love him but $120 is too too much money.

This seems to be the equivalent of leaving one of your level 3 Pokemon at the day care centre and going back to collect him a good while later.
Couldn't be arsed to train him yourself, Exp Share hasn't been unlocked yet. Pay to get him back once you've remembered where you left him.
Biggest stumbling block was convincing the player to join. If the journo is right then the deal is all but done, Juve wont turn down a world record fee. He is special but not irreplaceable for them, and since they nicked him from us to begin with, their fans should be ok with it. And lastly, if we dont believe anythign else we can always be certain that Raiola is a money grubbing cnut and he will not give up an eight figure payday for himself.
OK the money is too much, but not my money so that does not matter.
SAF let him go for a reason, he thought the grass was greener on the other side, he is a good player, I am just not sure he is right for us, the price tag is going to haunt him.
If he is coming back,I just hope he does what we will be paying a shed load of money for.
Fixed
I understand that and that queue had some very good players in it, that he could not get close to, but I am just not sure if he is the player for United. And he was right. He's returning as a 100m rated first teamer whose United are literally begging to sign. Previously he was just at the very end of a queue made up mostly of SAF's boys
He was absolutely right, he's established himself as one of the best players in the world and along the way has earned a cupboard full of medals.OK the money is too much, but not my money so that does not matter.

So you think this was one of SAF mistakes? and he made a few of them. I can accept that and to a degree, agree with you.He was absolutely right, he's established himself as one of the best players in the world and along the way has earned a cupboard full of medals.
Fergie didn't let him go at all, his failure to put trust in a youth player over playing a rightback and a winger in his place in midifeld is what resulted in him leaving.
I just hope that we're not going for him tbh.
Not that he's not better than our current bunch of players, but especially for the fee. I'm really annoyed to read the amount of the fee.
120M€ is way too much for him when we can use this money in a better way. I'm afraid to think that all our issue will be solved with money money and money.
We see during this euros that the collective play is always more important than individuals, and we should have learned from the Di Maria / Falcao transfers that we won't solve eveything with splashing cash.
And to go further, Raiola is only interested to make this happen because of the 25M€ he could get by selling Pogba to us. I'm pretty sure that Madrid won't follow us on this amount, but Pogba would rather go there than come back to United.
It's silly money. I would rather buy another top top central defender for 50M and another midfielder for the other 70M.

Only time will tell I suppose.
putting it like that I see your point , OK why did he not play him them, it would not just of been he wanted to play his players, would it, did Pogba piss SAF in some way?Of course it had. There was Carrick, two near 40 years olds, there was Cleverley, a sick Fletcher and ahh I almost forgot.....there was Ando in it. At one point we even played Rafael there. Where are these 'stars' now?
One of Fergies biggest mistakes, we've still not filled that gap in midfield in the 4 years since Pogba left and we've suffered massively for it. I'm pretty sure he would've been the same player if he was given the same oppotunities here. The thing I'm not sure about is whether he would've been willing to stick with us after 3 years of dross. So you think this was one of SAF mistakes? and he made a few of them. I can accept that and to a degree, agree with you.
Maybe getting away from United was what he needed, would he be the player he is now if he had of stayed ?
I know right? Took far too much effort on a Thursday morning to find the original tweet. Thefun begins halfway down page 137.God Dammit why are there no frigging threadmarks?
Burger KingOf course it had. There was Carrick, two near 40 years olds, a sick Fletcher + dumb and dumber (Ando and Cleverley). At one point we even played Rafael there while never gave space to Pogba. Where are these 'stars' now?
Remember Sergio Ramos. Believe it when you see it.

Where did you get this info that Pogba is Adidas's trademark player? And yes, you are definitely underestimating Muller's global appeal as well.Muller is sponsored by Adidas. So is Pogba. Who is Adidas trademark player for the future? Not Muller, but Pogba. Adidas made that choice, we only have to wonder why. It's because Muller brandship power is too local, and too tied to the German market. Pogba on the other hand, appeals to almost everyone in the world. He played in England, in Italy, he's French of African descent. And he's good.
Maybe I am underestimating Muller's branding power, but so far, that's how I perceive things.
If you guys are willing to give him up for $120, I will sponsor the transfer, his flight tickets and also the pick up at the airport. To be fair, I love him but $120 is too too much money.
Bang on. He needs a constant hardworker/runner like Vidal or Marchisio beside him to actually get the best out of him. Don't want him for those prices if he needs another top quality player to get him playing well.We would be stupid to pay 120m for Pogba, to start with. 2nd, I highly doubt that he will be our midfield saviour, especially as I dont think he can play in a 2 men midfield. For two times 60m you get two absolutely fantastic fantastic players who, in the long run, could be more benefitial for us
This.God Dammit why are there no frigging threadmarks?
Very true NK.It had gone mad long back, we are just trying to take it to the next level.
He works best in a midfield three. At Juve, his position is not even CM, but a bit wider. I have not seen anything to suggest he can play in a 2 men midfield and I doubt he has the discipline to do so.Bang on. If we buy him for 120m I doubt he will be worth more. If we buy him for 60m (unlikely), then yes.Do you guys think Pogba will be worth less in two years time? It's not like the money is gone, per se. He either stays with us for the long haul or is sold for even more money. Looking at his physical presence and ability, I think he's odds-on to become better in the next few years, not worse, which means his value will rise. That money is not "spent", it is placed on the pitch where it belongs.

Why not groom TFM into our very own PP?
