It would depend on the state of his contract - for example let's say that he signs a 5 year deal with us this summer, then in three seasons when he enters prime galactico age then he can turn-down renewal talks with us and push for Real. Even if we play hard-ball for a season, we're not going to allow ourselves to lose him again on a free and would therefore need to take whatever Real offer. End result: Pogba gets out of Juve, gets huge wages for a few years while increasing his profile as a player, before eventually getting the move every player wants, and with a nice bonus for himself and his agent.
They are the doom mongers who said De Gea would be gone - 5 minutes after it being announced he'd sign a new contract. Oh he'll stay a year - buy out clauses etc. They are just so negative. Vampires.

I assume that you're talking about the CM/DM position. Schneiderlin, TFM, Carra are here to stay. Not sure about Schweinsteiger. But it won't make sense if Mou signs another one there.
Besides, you would have to admit that our defence is not in a great shape as well. Smalling might have played his best ever season at United last year, Blind is just not a defender. And what we are missing is a leader at the back.
Pogba's probably a better player now because he left, we're potentially going to benefit from Juve's work with him.

This club isn't Rashford FC nor Fosu-Mensah FC. Both of them will get their chances. Plenty of youngsters have shown promise their 1st season and fizzled out. Let's not pin all our hopes on them.

All the posters who dont want us to sign Pogba are like the posters who comment on new jerseys every year. First they absolute hate it, then as they see it more and more they are like "its starting to grow on me" and finally once it is released they absolutely love it.

The other three aren't 100m players. While it is completely impossible to sign them, they would have cost more than that if their team decides to sell them. Neymar who is around the same age as Pogba would likely cost 200m if Barca somehow decides to sell him.

There is the possibility that the "four" are realistic, achievable targets (i.e. the 4th could be Matuidi, for example) and that Pogba comes into the category of "if a special player becomes available we have to try and sign him" - the same as if, say, Neymar or Bale were offered to us for a price

At a club like United, there shouldn't be much difference. If you take out the likes of Neymar, Messi, Muller, Ronaldo or Verrati because of PSG's money, there shouldn't be too many players in the world that we want but couldn't realistically get.
Obviously, we can't buy all the players we want for a variety of reasons, but there shouldn't be too many who are out of our reach if we were willing to spend the money. Especially if we get back into the CL next season.
Why are people banging on about Kante? Hasnt he technically had only one good season? That whole Leicester team was on a high. I would like to see him be more consistent for at least another season. Its the similar situation with Kane. We all wanted to give him at least one more season and he did perform but by that time we found Rashford. So lets do the same with Kante and who knows what might happen? Maybe Schneiderlin grows into that role under Mou or we unearth another in TFM playing CDM. Lets see how this season plays out.

If we do get him (which I'm still doubtful of) it's going to be an obscene amount of money, and I completely understand why many have reservations about spending that kind of sum. Part of me shares those reservations, however, another part of me is happy that we'd finally be swinging our proverbial penis around like the massive club we profess to be. How many times have we heard Woodward describe how we have the money and allure to bring in any player we wanted - well, it'll be nice to finally have some genuine substance to that.
And that's even before mentioning the more important on-the-pitch impact.

Pogba's fee will be covered by sponsors and he will generate massive amounts of cash as the poster boy for United so don't really see the problem with the size of fee especially when your talking 30m for Deeney. Pog would be a great signing if Woodie can pull it off but I'm trying not to get sucked in like I did with fecking Vidal.
Adidas are already considering Pogba as the next big marketing tool after Cristiano and Messi. He is only 23. We only stand to gain from all of this.

Then there are the likes of Ibrahimovic, Aguero, De Bruyne and Benzema who are around the same level as Bale, and for that reason I said that he 'likely' isn't in top 10 depending on how people rate all these players.
There cannot ever be a case that would put him in top 5 though.
