Yes I want him for whatever the figure may be. But if he then decides he wants to join Real/Barca, I want us to double the price.

Wouldn't he be given a 4/5 year contract anyway, with a unilateral option to extend?

He will feck off to Madrid or Barca when their finances are sorted in a few years. The rumours are his preference is Madrid but they don't want to fork out a WR fee. He won't be here for a decade and there's no guarantee he will be world class in the future. And feck marketing United is and will be one of top marketed clubs whether Pogba comes or not, it's about signing the best player to improve the team.

Yeah, Ballagues is basically Real's mouthpiece in the UK so they are constantly using him to spin any story to suit Real's agenda.

His reporting is hit and miss, but mostly just bias to Real.

Well if either Barca or Madrid want him then they will have to pay up a similar amount we did. So if we pay £100m and if they pay £100m to get him, then we practically got him for free for 4-5 years. And whats makes you thinking signing Pogba wont improve our team? Also youre saying there is no guarantee he will be world class, which I disagree with but youre saying confident he wont stay for a decade. Surely there is no guarantee in what youre saying either.

100m is ridiculous but then the money side of football altogether is. It's not my money so I'm not bothered about the price.

My problem is how being bought for such a fee would affect him when it comes to living up to it.

I still don't think it'll happen but obviously it will be a statement of intent if we do manage to bring him back.

Is that actually factual? I doubt we're worth almost 3 times as much as Arsenal.

So. What else are you going to do the the $$$? What if the cost were 200 million...would it really matter?

Does Pogba make the midfield better? YES or NO?

If yes, and spending the 100 million isn't keeping the team from signing other players (which apparently it isn't) who cares what Juve thinks. It's about getting the player you want, not making Juve go. "man, Man Utd is a smart, frugal club".

They still need another box to box midfielder to play beside him, but even if they only sign Pogba as the last player in this transfer market the team is better off going into this season than it was last season. A LOT better.

I'm not confident he will stay because we are not his first choice team to move to, after doing a similar thing with Di Maria I would prefer if we sign players that whole heartedly actually want to come here. We would also be mugs to pay that much for him for reasons I've already highlighted.

I reckon we were in for him but didn't go ahead because of his dodgy knee, understandble tbf spending top cash for a player after a major injury, big gamble that ( I'm looking at you Pep :nono:)
About the Pogba deal, think we are the only one in for him. Ronaldo and the other Madrid divas would throw sissy fits if Pogba was paid more than them. Madrid's name is just being used to drive the price up
 
Not sure why some people would want to play for Pogba. He is a star that will get lost in a sea of stars on that squad. With Bale and Ronaldo, Kroos... he will just get lost...

I did actually say I would like to see Pogba come. We could get better players for cheaper and would improve the team more than Pogba. This is setting a dangerous precedent for our future transfers too.

Players want to play with better players, doubt pogba cares if a ronaldo and bale gets the credit, has long as he is playing in a top team with top players
