hm, how could Pogba stay ignorant of all this craziness?
If he wasn't interested in coming, he'd have ended this already.
Possibly, but I don't think it's the positional changes that have caused that, I think it's the tactical changes. Without writing a novel it's not about Pogba position but his freedoms within the system so as long as he gets freedom to join in the attack with someone like schiderlin covering then he will be able to find his best form even with Rooney. Who would you prefer to play that role? Honestly I think Pogba is perfect for what we need.Euro have proved to the contrary. He's only been remotely effective when he pushes up. The deeper he plays, he less effective he gets.
They turned down 90mil Euros from Chelsea last season, and City were continually linked with an £80mil bid for him.Anyone that thinks Juventus want to keep him with 100 million the table is mad, they will be saving face with the fans. 100% Juventus have played this transfer to perfection, last summer he would have gone for half the amount.
We're gonna look like absolute mugs buying him back for such a huge figure, but who gives a damn, we're gonna be a beast of a team over the next few years if we buy him back.
Its not the 1960's anymore, technology exists today for people to keep in touch with each other without being in the same room.
All hail Jose!

Prepare to be disappointed then because professional managers, coaches and pundits still believe that Rooney is a top class player for a reason. He's not the player he was but he's still one of our best players and could well regain top form in a functioning team which I think we will get next season. Pogba will be bought for the attributes that he has that we lack, power, pace, creativity etc and they are set to complement what we already have which like it or not includes Rooney. You don't sign a £100mil player and limit him just for the benefit of Wayne Rooney
Mourinho is the last manager I'd expect to do this. And no, Rooney is a much worse player than people on this forum will try and make people believe. If given a chance I'm certain he will fail to perform outside a few instances his supporters will cling onto. He has shown throughout his career he can't be relied upon for an entire season, and his wages are astronomical to be a squad player. As someone's said Pogba would be on less wages than Rooney, despite being the most expensive player in the world!
Rooneys days are numbered.
On topic though, feels good beating Madrid to a player. Woodward you beautiful man.
Di Marzio has already said terms were agreed with POGBA. And how can he agree terms and not sign off on the transfer, that doesn't even make sense.I'm not saying he's not aware of what the terms are. Please learn how to read and comprehend. You can find terms acceptable without actually signing off on a transfer.
This surely all but confirms it? unless other clubs start taking interest, but who could outbid us at this point?
Hahah balbag there is just so bitter that Manchester United is now the most powerful club on the planet and that the limeight will start to shine on the primer league more than the Spanish league he can't take it! And he knows with us making a signing like Pogba we'll be back at the top! Give it a year or two the Spanish dominance in Europe will be no longer!

Rooney has proven in his career that he has those attributes and can play the number 10 role. A fit and firing Rooney is still a great player that provides a team with much needed goals and assists. As I've said numerous times, everyone will be in for a shock if they think Rooney isn't first name on the team sheet.Rooney isn't good enough as a #10. he can't play on the turn. he can't play in tight areas. He can't play the ball off players to create his own chances.
Euros have also made it clear that he's no attacking midfielder. He's a second striker. And Jose didn't play Remy, who is a very good second striker, so i doubt he'd entertain Rooney for long. His flaws are clear. In the modern game, a #10 needs tremendous ball control and vision. Rooney lacks both.
Pretty sure they're just using what Ballague said to get that. And Juve can still tell us to feck off even if it's true Madrid aren't involved.
some bitter scouser said:Didn't think they were in it personally. If they really wanted him, they'd get him, especially with Zidane being coach

No I remember reading that in a guardian articlethat was a fake quote invented by the Juventuz board.
Go noodlesAnd people laugh at all our noodle sponsorships etc
Laugh at this you ABU cnuts!

Have they quoted Ballague? don't think they're using him at all. Plus, Juventus will not say no to the money we're reportedly willing to pay.
Rooney has played number 10, just because he doesn't play it like Ozil doesn't mean he hasn't played the role. In football you can never throw away the most valuable commodity and that is goals and to a lesser degree assists. Rooney has always provided good numbers and they will certainly rise in a better system and surrounded by players of quality like Pogba, ibra and Mkhitaryan. I just don't understand the complete and utter disregard of Rooney as if he's our worst player when he's not even close. Rooney will play tho, of that I have absolutely no doubt and I think he will improve under Mourinho.when was Rooney a #10? Rooney was a second striker under SAF in a 4-4-2. He was a #9 under Moyes. And LVG moved him all over the pitch to no benefit.
Yes, goals help the team, but if Ibra and Martial provide those goals, with Miki and Pogba chipping in, we don't need Rooney's goals.
Jose identified our weaknesses like he did at Chelsea, where he needed goals and assits, so he bought Costa and Fabregas. Here, we also lacked goals and assists, so he bought Ibra and Miki.
We don't need Rooney. End your Stockholm syndrome with the ginger beast.
Would be nice if we could out muscle them in the future and all. We've got the money...

Mourinho is believed to have made a bid of €90m for Pogba last summer while at Chelsea only to be put off by the player’s wages and his preference for what he considers a “historical” or traditional club rather than a nouveau riche one.
