I would imagine their net equity is higher. How much debt do they have? Where did you get these numbers mate?
It was in someone's post in this thread - can't find it now the way this thread moves

I know many people think the transfer fee is excessive. In isolation, I 100% agree with this. However, this possible transfer is a watershed moment for the next 5-10 years. Whether people here like to admit it or not, we're definitely on a downward spiral in terms of relevance. But if we break the transfer record and sign the hottest available property in the game, we're showing that we still sitting at the top table - and fighting to be the head.

As a result, I feel we looking to smash the record to also send out a message. In today's market, what's a more realistic sum for signing one of the best talents from a European giant? £60m? £70m? By pushing the deal up to £100m, we're foregoing (in theory) a £35m player - a Fellaini? A Mata? A Depay? In truth, the sending out of a strong statement and possibly bullying the like of Madrid is worth more to us right now than one of these players.

What's PSG's stance in all this?

They could probably out price us in fee and wages. Plus 2 other positives of having champions league and it's his home nation.
Think Pogba's camp have been pretty vocal in that they'll only move to a bigger league.

I guess they will be a few of these comments over the next few days, especiallyfrom bitter scousers!

fecking sky sports sources... combined with 'breaking' in caps it really getss the muppet juices flowing.

I really hate how former English/British players and managers are so blind to players outside of the Premier League. Its like old Harry saying Ali is better. This always happens with big money foreign transfers, its like "Pogba is overrated, they should of bought Jack Wilshire instead"
Buffoons.

City could afford him, but from what I've read they've decided his fee and wages are too excessive to be worth pursuing, given he'd take a substantial chunk of our budget when other players are still needed. I think if we were going to sign him it would have happened last summer. Not that Pep or the club would not like to have him in an ideal world.

He's not a pep player IMO

In case anyone (like me) missed this a few pages back.

Anyway.
Juve fans on Twitter are in meltdown. Apparently a Juve ITK has said in a podcast that this is a done deal.

Madrid is every players first choice. He dreams of Madrid, don't you know? Every time he takes a shit he rolls them out to spell "Real Madrid" like it was alphabet spaghetti before he flushes them. Thank feck for Ballague and his mind reading powers.
I tried to imagine this in my head, it did not paint a good picture. :nervous:

Yeah i have heard that and well some Juve fan i know is saying that he has medical with United on tuesday or wednesday.

Not sure where he got is info from though.

I'm leaving myself vulnerable to disappointment but I really believe this is going to happen now.

Have United ever been this decisive and quick shifting with a big transfer? Im amazed at the pace this has moved at.

If it happens, I'm sure its been more or less agreed for some time but needed the Euros to finish before a final decision is made.

He was doing punditry on Indian TV during the Euro group stages, and was quite insistent throughout that Zlatan Ibrahimovic was overrated. There is a pattern there, but I can't quite put my finger on what it is :)

PSG priority is a striker first and foremost. Zlatan has contributed a lot past season and they will need to find a alternative and it's not gonna be cheap, plus their midfield looks pretty loaded.

they could probably match our bid. but seems pogba wants to play in a better league than italy, which is clearly not france lol
