I really like Alli, raved about him on here after the MK Dons game, but he's become hilariously and annoyingly over rated by people in this country.
Of course he's young and will get better but what's hilarious about Glastonburys post is his suggestions that Alli currently possesses things that Pogba doesn't, he was literally suggesting Alli is currently the better player . He blew his cover right there and then.

I really don't see it. He flits in and out of games, does some flashy things, but disappears when it's put up to him. Sure I'd like us to sign him as he's better than what we have, but he is completely overrated in my honest opinion. And I think the fee does matter. It's not my money, but if spending an extraordinate amount of money on a player if it means not signing others or selling good players, then I think it's madness.

Sissoko was box-to-box. Pogba was a deep, deep, deep defensive anchor.
His value should go down after his shocking performance this tournament.

The Rooney debate is just what ABU's say to make them feel better (like Glaston). If anything, as Alli played with Rooney, Rooney had to play really deep, while Alli would just run around freely but ineffectively. With Pogba, his qualities suggest that he's a much better box to box and playing him in CDM limits his output massively.
