Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Not sure whether you agree or disagree with me tbh. I wouldn't have any of that shit in here. Keep a separate thread for BS and "funny" nonsense. Keep this thread for updates and some discussion. It's not a matter of life or death, just a bit irritating sifting through 10 pages every day to find the 1-2 decent posts.

I agree with you on that part that this thread is a right mess but I find it tedious to blame AM for it, for what it's worth.

I guess that you will have your update once the deal indeed is finalised and we can change the title or create a new thread for Pogba's performances. Until then, it's pretty much everybody in the dark.

Thanks. I think you're missing the point but enjoy the rest of the thread

Juve are being linked with a deal for Higuain, which sounds promising for us getting Pogba.

Guys this is how I see it from the perspective of the different players:

United. Want their man and are willing to pay for him. Their role is quite straightforward

Pogba. Wants the move for (probably) financial reasons over anything else. However, he doesn't want to look like he's forcing the move, as this would affect any loyalty bonus, tarnish his legacy at the club and damage his relationship with the fans. Hell, there might even be a bit of loyalty to Juve in there to.

Juve. Grudgingly want the move, as they won't get a better deal for Pogba, they know he'll move at some point, and the money is too good to turn down. They do not however want to be seen as a "selling" club, especially after Coman and Vidal went to Bayern. It makes sense for them to portray to the football world and in particular their fans that Pogba is forcing the issue and their hands are tied.

Raiola. Wants whatever is best for his client (ergo himself) which is this case is the move. He'll publicly sit on the fence though for obvious reasons (keep everyone happy).

It's all a bit cat and mouse to me and that's why I think this will drag on. I think we'll get him in the end, but Juve are tough negotiators in the transfer market and they will not accept someone waltzing in and making off with their prized asset without putting up a fight.

I remember reading they were in debt and the club could be bought for 300m? Anyone confirm. Just buy their club ffs, we get Dybala and Pogba.

I don't know for sure but i would imagine one of the worlds biggest clubs can't be bought for £300m.

Did a quick Google and Forbes seems to think they are worth $1.3 Billion dollars.

They have their own stadium unlike many clubs in Itsly, they have always been well run. And they receive record revenues from the CL.

Just to expand on that a little, they also obviously sold Morata already and as it seems will likely sell Zaza + Pereyra, which should raise another ~50m or so. Apparently Benatia is also only on loan with an option to buy.

I think they are well run because they sell at the right times and invest well. Signing Higuain, Pjanic, Benatia and Alves(salary) - Pjaca and maybe Matic on just the fees of Zaza, Morata, Pereyra would leave their finances pretty dry.

I'm quite sure they couldn't afford Pjaca and Matic on top without selling someone big e.g. Pogba, but just Higuain on top of what they have now could definitely be possible, although wages may be an issue if not now then later.

Ever considered that pogba has told them to spend the money to match his desire to win the champions league? You want me to stay then improve the team and make it capable of winning the champions league. If not I'll win the Europa league instead and champions league next season

It'll stick my neck out, I'm not an ITK but I believe Pogba is done, or close to done.

Juve know they can't keep Pogba forever, they are a club like Atlético Madrid now. They have big assets and good young stars but they know they will have maybe 2-3 seasons of a player and then if a big offer comes in they sell. What they do is they have a series of targets for when that happens to replace the star.

I believe that's Pjanic this year, we all know Real Madrid was the big club in many ways because of Zidané and the global icon that is Real, for a french star like Pogba it's not always Madrid who he wants.

Juve know Real Madrid is traditionally the big bucks but United are out muscling Real, completely priced out Real not only for the club fee, but for the agent too and wages. United can't be beaten.

Ontop of my point above, Real have a transfer ban next year. This is THE summer to sell Pogba or the money will start going down for the fee as he gets older, unless theres some crazy inflation. If Juve are selling him it's this year not 2 years time.

I personally think its 80% done, the agreement sources have said for a while is agreed in principle, even Balague isn't shy to say this, it's just the club who needs to be persuaded but it's a huge fee more than the asking price.

Juve will have some big buys in the summer, a better squad by letting Pogba go, they'll do it.

How much do you expect Higuian to cost?

I'm not who you directed the question at but he's 28 years old, had a brilliant season last year by his personal standards I can see a fee of 40 million euros.

The talk is upwards of 75M euros, with Pereyra going the other way to lessen the fee. This is why I see it as Pogba money.

That Juventuz forum is pathetic and can't believe some United fans are falling for their fake ITK shit.

They're all just having one massive fake convo in amongst each other.

Hmm agreed actually I just looked at forwards on Squawka.

In terms of his performances last year he was the #5 striker in the top 5 leagues respectively. He warrants a 40M+ Euro fee given his age.

Maybe higher as you say. 36 goals last year in Serie A (a goal per game).

Performance wise the best performer in Serie A last year and he's probably going to win POTY in Serie A too.

I really wouldn't be surprised if that United fan on there was also made up by them.

Right now they have sold Morata, bought Alves for free and Pjanic for 32m € so net spend of 2m € give or take a few million in signing bonuses etc. Let's assume they buy Higuain for what's rumored 75m + Pereyra and sell Zaza for the 30m € rumored. That's a net spend of 45-50m €. Juventus can definetly afford that, without having to sell Pogba. This is all of course speculation and rumors, but even in the case they buy Higuain it doesn't really mean anything as far as Pogba to united is concerned. I'm personally entirely convinced that he will stay in Juventus for a few more years.

Then you are not a true muppet.

Stop giving acquire me abuse. He is only trying to help ye mindless muppets. Don't bite the hand that feeds ya.

@Acquire Me

Agreed. It's pathetic that some are asking him to clarify his source then basically calling bullshit on it. Whether his source is genuine or not, there's no need to give him grief over the matter.

Also, we are in a thread that is going to contain a lot of speculation and "ITK bollocks" even though he doesnt claim to be "ITK". If people dont like what they're reading or get annoyed by it then just leave, it really is that simple.

This saga has taken over my life, even though my gut feeling is a done dealio. All that's left to know the muppet within has won is a dream of Pogba signing in the middle of a grinning Lord Woodward and a smug Mourinho.

Perhaps your right, Id assumed they usually break even but looking at there net spend:
15/16 - 50M euros
14/15 - 11M euros
13/14 - -27M
12/13 - 34M euros

Do they have enough income to go 2 seasons with a net spend of 100M?
