During Euro 2016 we made the back pages of newspappers more then the tournament itself with all this world record bid etc.. In same period we signed Zlatan/Miki/Bailly plus Mourinho's unveiling, add Pogba's transfer into that and you get a spike in seasons tickets/match day tickets/ membership application sales.
I think after disappointed last season and van gaal - United played the media very well with new players signing and pogba world record bid, we needed a bit of positive press and lift and I think United made most of the situation.

He is on holidays, and deservedly so after a long season for both club and country. If there is any sort of deal in place, I expect it to speed up when Pogba returns from his holidays.

If we still hear nothing when he comes back, the deal's off IMO.
 
How is this even a saga? It has been a week since the Euros finished and Pogba is still on holiday. People really need to chill and worry about something more serious than this.

Because some believe every source that says something positive on the matter. So when what they believed doesn't follow through, they naturally feel depressed. You'd think after all the sagas we've had ending negatively through the years, people would learn.
 
I have learned never get attached to any transfer until you see the player holding up the shirt. There's no point.

I actually enjoy all of the rumours and gossip though. It's entertaining as I find summers extremely long and boring.

Do I think Pog will be at United next season? Yes. No. Don't know. Yes. Maybe.

That's how all of us really feel.
 
Still don't think this is happening. Eventing seems based on conjecture and there hasn't even been as much hinting as there was with (for example) Vidal.

I think this will go on for another month or so, and then he'll just come out and say he's staying at Juventus.

That's exactly how I feel. A summers not complete unless you have a real saga. But equally it's important not to get too tied down in every little tweet from every source on the planet, or things can get messy.
 
Look how long the Zlatan one took and that was a free transfer. Even he said there was a lot of meetings. It's just how it is. And many people did the same thing. Oh he ain't coming. His agent certainly did his best to not make it obvious...

I doubt Pogba himself knows whats going on at the moment and is probably holding off any decision until he returns from holiday. He'll have an idea, but I'm calling bullshit on all of the papers, ITKs and Twitter trolls.

But, as many of us stated, The Sun make up stories and should not be believed under any circumstances.
I do find it surprising that after so much foreplay, we still haven't even submitted a bid. I thought the bid had already been submitted.

I've seen it said as 'preparing'....whether that's true or not we'll see in just over a weeks time probably.

Thing is we had the same amount of "ITKs" saying the previous ones were done too. I don't believe anyone who claims to know a thing tbh and we'll only know if/when he's spotted at Carrington.

Why anyone expected anything positive or negative to have happened today is beyond me.
 
This will be resolved when Pogba returns from holiday.

So we'll have a better idea if he's staying or leaving.

Nobody really knows, if it's on I think your looking at the end of the month if not I'd say another target will arrive around that time whoever that may be but this is just my gut feeling on the situation
