Pilib De Brun on Periscope just now reiterating that if United didn't think it'll be done they'd have moved on to Matuidi by now.

Also added the caveat that things can change, but he expects it to happen.

Sounds pretty pissed off with people tweeting him time and time again for more news/sources. Don't blame him!

De Bruns Periscope is on now. He said Pogba wasn't too enthusiastic about coming back but has reluctantly agreed.

To put that into perspective - we're in the Europa League so it's to be expected. If we win trophies and get back to the top then that'll quickly change.

De Bruns said that if he was a betting man he would put money on Pogba coming. Says things can change, but believes Pogba will be coming. Expects him to be a United player after this week.

If he didn't want that he wouldn't post that stuff in the first place.

Sticking to his guns and still says he expects him to sign.
Thinks Matuidi is alternative and could yet be signed in addition to Pogba.
Madrid aren't willing to pay Juventus what we are willing to pay, would have to sell to come up with funds, most likely won't happen with pending transfer ban.
Says his source has also given info to another person who has released it. He's released it since it's no secret United want to sign Pogba.
Won't lose any sleep if he doesn't sign and thinks all muppets should go wack it in the corner and evaluate your life.

Ok, I made that last part up.

This is The summary of the periscope.
  • Pogba will sign
  • First choice was Madrid
  • Madrid wont pay
  • He will sign for us,
  • Matuidi was backup plan
  • May still sign Matuidi
  • According to his info it should be done . Unless something dramatic happens. As united havent signed other alternatives it means every thing is on track
  • Says if he were to bet, it wiould be on pogba coming.
Its similar info to Ballague, i think he refers to him in the video too.

Maybe ballbag is the other person given the info.

It depends on which TV program. If its being made on Paddy show then its close
 so when they were talking about a Ronaldo return not long ago because a caller brought it up, they showed a few of his goals for us. Is it close?

What this Pilib de Brun is saying has been mentioned these past two weeks by other journalists. He never says anything new. He is like Mitten - a United fan, acting like he is ITK but doesnt know shit and he aint reliable.

"Pogba has reluctantly accepted to go back to Manchester United" LOL. Just say no Paul if you don't want to, no problem.

We will look back in seasons to come and ask what the secret was to the role reversal of Madrid beating us to players.

A fax machine!

you tend to agree with you on this. reeks of Andy Mitten

Why isn't he reliable if he hasn't got anything wrong?

MUTV do everything to distance themselves from speculation, not seen the paddy show tonight, but the presenter will always play down any rumours they always do.

I really hope that's not true. Why would we push ahead for someone, paying a ridiculous amount of money, if he's lukewarm about the whole thing?

That's it madrid aren't signing Pogba after what Zidane has just said.

I guess pogba is now a United player.

Why isn't he reliable if he hasn't got anything wrong?
Thats because he never sticks his head out and makes a prediction first. He is in the United States. His contacts arent great. He goes off primarily on what the other journalists say. He does all this for attention sake and it works every time because people fall for it.

Because he's a top player who will improve the team.
Not arguing if he's a top player or not. But if you're heart's not in something you don't give 100% - this is what we need. And we'd be making a huge investment, so I think it's reasonable to expect him to have the right approach first and foremost. Otherwise, it will really be a waste of time and money.

I agree but it's all media BS to sell more papers. We don't know where that report came from. Ballbag maybe since he is a Madrid supporter. I'm sure the #10 and 300k per week will warm him up.

I don't think we need to worry about him giving his all. If Jose's lovable man management doesn't work then we can get Zlatan to kick him in the head.

Completely agree with you. It really doesn't make any sense does it from either United's or Pogba's point of view?

I doubt motivation will be much of an issue playing under Mourinho, for Manchester United, with a world record fee to live up to, the lure of fame, untold fortune... and a move to the Spainish big two in three years time if you've impressed them enough. He'll do fine. Aside from Borthwick-Jackson and the like, none of them really have their 'heart in it' anyway.

I like the sound of that!

"Works everytime". What do you mean by that? has he had history of doing this type of thing?

Zidane comments on Pogba:

"I'm happy with the squad I've got and it's tough to improve upon it. He's a player that I like. He's a good player, but he's not the only player I like, but at present he's a Juventus player. I've got many members of the squad missing here, but with the Euros there's nothing I can do about it. We'll prepare for the three pre-season fixtures and the game in Norway, which is a very important one for us".
