I will let you do that and then inform us all how google defines bigoted. It isn't meant as an insult. It is a point of fact, based on an opinionated observation yes, but still a point of fact. Attaching to the belief or opinion that Pogba is not worth the investment with no real solid reason other than simply "I don't want him" or "He's not worth it" or "There are better out there for one third of the cost" is pretty close to a dictionary definition of bigoted.

There is no "point of fact". Having an opinion that Pogba is not worth 100m is subjective, and holding the view that other players are better is also subjective. There is nothing bigotry about it.

Cambridge definition "a person who has strong, unreasonable beliefs and who does not like otherpeople who have different beliefs or a different way of life"

So basically you called me a bigot for having an opinion, which is massively ironic. Lets leave it there, you can PM me if you really want to continue this pointless sub-debate.

A big stain on SAF's legacy.

A mistake that costs the club more than 100 million.
Or you could look at it another way

If not for SAF we mightn't have been signing some of the brightest young prospects from abroad in the 1st place

If not for SAF we wouldnt have 100 mill to spunk on this transfer

because the man who let him go was the best of all time, he got more things right than he did wrong
The account is insanely bitter. The first replies says this about SAF being the best modern manager, and their response is 'Carlo Ancelotti would like to have a word'...

True true but the cost of Mistake with Pogba can be directly observed.

Truth be told, I am excited for Pogba to be back. But sad that it will cast a huge shadow on SAF's work.

I can sense people starting to hate us again. Jose is bringing it back. Brilliant.

No it won't. It will be regarded as a mistake.

But a huuge shadow? No, not really.

As it was said if it weren't for him we wouldn't probably have 100 mil to spend right now.

Pogba will be a success, Inhave no doubts about it. Reminds me so much of the deal that took Zidane from Juve to Real. People were just gobsmacked how much the deal was back ten, same here.

Pogba just has the confidence and will at thenfact he cost so much.

Just not looking forward to that first defeat, with him in the team. "Their whole team cost less than Pogba..." Blah blah bla

Thread update? 'Pogba has said yes to Mourinho's project'?

GdS are now reporting Pogba has asked to leave. Hence the Di Marzio story of the counter-offer. Juve want deal done!!

@KM

My former draft assistant manager gets the job done, I came so close with the Thiago thread as well, alas you are now head of creating all the muppet signing threads.

Here's a translation

"It is getting serious. The negotiation between Juventus and Manchester United for Paul Pogba has officially begun. It was a face-to-face meeting between the clubs today, and the first offer has been tabled. United's Executive Vice President Ed Woodward was present for United, as was Pogba's agent Mino Raiola. Representing Juventus: club executives Marotta and Paratici. 101 million euros was the first offer (higher fee than it cost for Real to buy Bale, so potentially already the biggest transfer fee ever).

It appears that Pogba is leaning towards agreeing to a move to England, thanks in part to the enormous salary (13 million euros net of taxes) offered to the player. Juventus seems to understand Pogba's motives, which could demonstrate the club's reasoning behind the serious consideration of United's offer, without actually accepting.

In the next few days, Juventus will likely be submitting a counter-offer of up to 120 million euros, plus bonuses tied to Pogba's future output and future contracts. Raiola's role in the deal could also be another aspect to consider between the clubs. At this point, it seems only to be a question of fees and prices. Juventus is digesting for the first time for real that Pogba could be leaving, and choosing Manchester United. But no question that this is a serious effort for United to land Paul Pogba.

I think if we sign Pogba then the longer we keep him the more chance people will realize that the blame for the mistake wasn't all one way.

If we sign Pogba then we better hope its on something like a 6 year contract because I can promise you that when it comes to renegotiating that contract some of you are gonna really learn to hate Raiola if you don't already.
