United and Fergie just had that hold on the league during their time. That has now passed. The days of dominance with very little net spend is over. United will have to start acting like the other big clubs in the world, which isn't wrong to begin with, just a different approach. After you rebuild the foundations, you can be more picky in the transfer market ala Bayern or Juve.
