Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I have to say out Real Madrid'ing Real Madrid is one of my favourite aspects of this transfer. Huge statement and a big middle finger to the rest of Europe about our power.
Yep. It's the equivalent of Woodward walking into a club, throwing down his keys to his Ferrari on the table and ordering the most expensive bottle of champagne on sale.

He's going in for the prettiest girl available, and he's blown the other ballers out of the water

Fair enough - I had no idea he made the FIFA Pro XI to be fair, shows how little
I just told you he made the FIFA World XI and you even quoted my post.
If there's one thing I've learnt from youtube is that compilation videos are the absolute best way to judge how good a player is.
Did you not read his second line?

£100m for a player who is probably over a 90% chance of being a great signing. I'd take that any day over more punts on £20m - £40m players who have far greater chances of not working out.

Just out of curiousity, where in Italy are you from and which team do you consider your Italian team?

I always had the impression that Italians mostly supported Italian teams, I rarely meet Italian Manchester United fans :)

I am actually Maltese but we know Italian fluently, we have access to their media and I have relatives in Italy. I only support Manchester United (3rd generation fan) but I believe that AC Milan of the late 80s was the best team the world ever seen and I admire Juventus management (bar the scandals)

We found out that the caf doesn't watch football and missed the part where Deschamps played Pogba in his positions but Pogba failed to impress.

Agreed and the reason he wasn't in his best position was because a player actually worth 100Mil took up the role.
The issues that meant he wasn't ready back then to fill in the central midfield role are still very present and were on show at the Euros.
Only positive for me is that it will inevitably push Rooney out of the starting 11. Though I'd rather see Zlatan up front, with Mikkhi behind him and Rashford along with Martial on either side.

Why would any club ever accept the first bid? It's negotiating 101.

You can tell it's media posturing though. We're apparently meeting their representatives all this week, as in sat round a table. Why would we need to fax over an official bid, would it not make more sense to just discuss a ball park figure while they're all sat there? It's obviously just them trying to look reluctant to sell.

Deschamps is not a great manager either

I haven't worked at office the whole day! Not doing anything in particular, but can't get rid of thoughts about this imminent signing off my head! So fecking excited!!!

Why is Griezmann worth £100m but not Pogba? Just want to know your thinking? Going by the discussions in the last two pages, Griezmann aint world class, he didnt make the World XI, he isnt the best striker, he isnt the best #10, he isnt as marketable as Pogba yet one is worth £100m and the other is not? Who makes up these numbers to say one player is worth this much while the other is not?

How people are not excited, after seeing that last compilation video, is beyond me.

I'm not basing my like of Pogba from youtube, I actually remember the days he was here and watched him for the past two years at Juve.
His Youtube compilation videos are great to watch. The lad has that special something, for example we saw a glimpse of it in the Euros when France scored that second goal against Germany. He's very skillful and more than capable of becoming a goal scoring midfielder. He scored some wonderful goals for Juve over the last few years.

Pogba holding our new jersey would be the wet dream of all our shareholders.

Speaking of wet dreams, my cock is at breaking point.

Deal closed at EUR 125m including Riola's bonus according to that source. This must be the original bid that United made - so unfortunately looks to be bullshit.

Which we do and I would say a lot of us agree he belongs there. An argument only backed up by him actually being voted into the World XI.
Over Modric, Kroos, Iniesta, Busquets? Not so sure about that. And that's if you have three midfielders.

I made a post a few month back saying big clubs outside of England need the CL more than we do. If the CL ceased to exist then the appeal of these huge clubs go down due to the league they are in. Their exposure doesn't come close to England's.
Of course I was shouted down but this proves my point.
422 pages in this forum, browsing Reddit and that Juve forum and everything is CL > Europa. Why play in the b competition?.
Finishing 5th is used in the CL context.
I haven't read one post asking why he would leave when Juve provides a better chance to win their domestic league than a side who finished 5th in England, a side who couldn't beat Leicester.
Not one.
We provide a lot of elements that Juve simply cannot match

The original deal was 100m EUROS and this is 125m which equates to just over £100m. So if true then this is an upped offer.

For ever dollar you only get back 0.25, there are better odds for other betting I feel
Do you mean there are better odds on Pogba joining somewhere else or better chance/odds in general on other events? :) In my opinion this transfer is in the bag so I take whatever is on offer. ;)

Completely agree with all the sentiments of the posters who quoted me.

We definitely need to keep ourselves in the good books of super agents for the time being whilst we're trying to rebuild and get back to the top.

The acquisitions of players from Mino have been fantastic this summer and Pogba, when it goes through, will be the cherry on top.
