We have to give a special mention to Richard Keys as he was the first one reporting the deal.
 
I don't think he's worth 100m by any stretch but we need to make up for all the years City and Chelsea nicked players off us because we didn't want to pay premium
 
yeah i wouldn't put much stock in hash having ITK sources, but his ability to collect juve news on pogba has been fantastic so far. Best thing to do is probably take the AS comments as a good sign this is close and forget the rest.

But @Acquire Me has never said he was ITK. Just sharing the info from his friend in a marketing department who is involved in a business with the club. He only said the deal was "done" bar technicalities on July 11th, both parties agreed to make a deal happen. I don't get the witch hunt here. I do hope we move on.

They are at the end of their cycle, soon their posterboy Ronaldo is going downhill, and their other WC candidate, Modric, is also getting on a bit :drool:

It will cost them enormous amounts of money to rebuild their galactico collection. The transfer ban won't help either

I dont think it's a witch hunt, some of us are skeptics because of the exact reason Rado_N said. Maybe he's legit but he has full right to be skeptical and think he's a bullshitter like the rest

Pretty sure he was. He didn't beat around the bush, said we will definitely sign him 100%. Nobody else stuck their neck on the line like that.

After seeing that video, I felt that Vidal wouldn't be athletic enough perform at the highest level in the EPL. I had visions of Vidal chasing Vardy around the pitch, but not actually being able to get anywhere near him.

Pogba is certainly more athletic and more suited to the EPL (IMO).

Really? Wen I watch Vidal I see the opposite. A very energetic and rough middy on both ends of the pitch for club and country.

My point was that @Acquire Me is not directly involved in this deal. He shared what his friend told him. It was true for Mourinho, Zlatan and now Pogba. July 11th I remember that Juventus stance was to not sell and everyone was laughing at us. So... Anyway, I get your point, hopefully you understand mine.
 
Can we seriously not have another long discussion about ITK's in this thread? Its ridiculous having to sort through all of the irrelevant posts to find actual information and discussion regarding Pogba. When is the ITK thread going to be made? Let them all have a little party in there. :)
 
That report in relation to Gomes is most likely not true, it's probably a briefing to get Madrid to pay up as they're stalling on what Valencia want.

There was a stat posted earlier in the thread that Pogba wins the ball back in the final third more than any other player in Europe. Or he's in the top 3, something like that.

I think that's fair. Pogba is a decent ball winner but Vidal is superb at hunting the opponent down. To get the best from Pogba we'll want him driving forward from a midfield three.

They know its bullshit. There is no way we are dropping another £35-40m on a player we dont need in a position we are going to be well stocked in.

In all seriousness, it's about time we've started living up to our biggest club in England reputation in the market. I'd be delighted if we became the new Bayern and just get shit done efficiently.

I believe the video is of Torino fullback Bruno Gomes when he ran across the pitch(sick goal) before scoring a screamer. Gomes was already full speed when approaching Vidal, so Vidal had no chance to hit his speed before being already miles behind him. He should have taken a booking. Not saying he shouldn't have done better, but if that is the video in question, that doesn't give Vidal a fair chance.
