Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

Probably didn't want his feed to get bombarded, Griezmann's brother or not looks like it's just a united fan that jumped the gun.....no story here :boring:
What was the tweet sorry? Been MIA for a few hours, looks like I've missed a lot!

Meh, i just hope we don't become the next Leeds. Not really in to this transfer. If it fails (i hope not) Jose will be off soon as well. A lot of things on the line. United now have to win the premier league right away which puts Pogba, Jose and Zlatan under pressure due to their personalities.

Democracy and free speech is overrated.

Not particularly excited by this transfer either. A huge amount of money for a player I haven't seen play that often in recent years and when I have seen him he has disappointed. Hard to get excited based solely on reputation rather than stuff you've actually seen.

Also wondering what the midfield surrounding him will look like.

Still, pleased that we seem to be securing our targets nice and quickly this summer.

This is looking like a done deal. However I really am very uncomfortable with the figures being bandied about, especially those for the agent. Essentially he is being paid to instigate a move. What happens in three years when the contract is up for renewal? This really is an obscene amount of money, and is a sorry indictment of the current economic structures in football.

This post could apply for every single record breaking transfer in the history of the game.

Raiola says "well this is the richest club in the world and he ain't getting more money elsewhere".

Woodward gives him a blank cheque and us fans are no worse off.

Well I've just caught up on the last 15 pages or so. Wow what a roller coaster that was!

It's done and dusted guys, Madrid would have bidded by now, juve are just trying to cause trouble.

Can't wait to see prince Paul return!

I'd be more excited If Griezmann's brother convinced him to join United then Pogba, I think I'd be in full Muppet mode then :D

Woodward buys his image rights, get him to do adverts for hair gel etc, job done! Oh yeah maybe play some games too.

And does that make it wrong? £100 million pounds plus whatever percentage for the agent. Personally it makes me feel uncomfortable. If you are happy with it, then that is fine. As I said, it makes me feel uncomfortable.

Howard Nurse: "Paul Pogba is understood to have waived United's offer of a new contract and has instead signed for Italian giants Juventus"

Or I need another 15% and he is off to Madrid. Alternatively he runs the contract down and gets an even bigger slice of the pie.

If it's money they are after, they won't be leaving for Madrid.

We're just getting richer and richer and Woodward isn't letting anyone leave for Spain

Is this one of the best threads ever made!
The excitement on here oh boy.

Can we have as newbies a 5 more replies only for this thread as muppets bonus!?

Don't say stuff like that. This is a family forum.

My nine year old daughter read that. She asked me what a 'big Pogba sized dick' was. What could I say? I had to improvise:

"Remember that thing you asked about when you saw Daddy in the shower?'

"Yes'

"It's half that size"

jesus. Keep your taboo erotica novels out this thread, please.

Firstly you are not paying a penny. Secondly our turnover for this year alone is £500m. We are technically spending only 20% of our entire year's turnover in this deal. It goes to show the financial power we possess. Nothing to be worried about here. Just enjoy we got one of the world's best midfielders and he is going to vastly improve us.
I am not paying a penny? Really? So all that money spent on match day tickets, merchandise etc. Is not being spent? Money does not grow on trees and the club is still in debt because of the Glazers' takeover. The Club are spending upwards of £150 million and you think it is alright? As I said I find it uncomfortable.

No miserable point but I wanted to know if it's confirmed. Not yet apparently.

No confirmation yet, it's all moving forward very quickly now though. Just a matter of time.

:lol: when will this shit get old? Does the law of diminishing returns apply to Howard Nurse?

Shouldnt you be happy that the money is being invested in one of the best young players in the world? Would you rather the club does nothing with the money?

You paid money for entertainment and clothes. Where did you expect the profits to go?

We have manageable debt that is maintained for tax breaks. Where have you been for the last 5 years?

Was going to say someone had gone even further with it earlier today by commenting that Howard was only just now reporting the Le Havre to United story.

It would be great if we have already bought his image rights, and continue making money off his image even if he snubs us for Real now.

Don't/Didn't Chelsea own Mourinho's even after he joined us.

You're talking as if you spend a £1m a year for the club. Im comfortable because of the marketing prowess that we have. We sign deals left and right with big companies and sponsors. Also think about this by signing Pogba our chances of making the top four have increased significantly. If we miss out again this year doesnt our jersey deal go down by £20m a year? Thats a hefty price to pay. We can make this money up by sales and the advertising of the club and Pogba. Im not denying we arent in debt but its definitely manageable from here on out.
