Raiola maybe like to wum but at least it's clear the deal isn't imminent.

Could be another week at least.

Don't think it's "clear" at all. He's just pouring cold water on that l'Equipe piece (and others) which suggested a deal had been agreed. The correct reports are from Di Marzio et al. who are saying there's still certain things to be agreed. It's already moved quite quickly this week, I'm confident we'll get another big break today or tomorrow.

I remember i kept saying that i thought the Vidal, Sneijder abd Ramos stories were manufactured sagas from the press. I'm now wondering if the same is happening here and I've just been sucked in too this time.

If all these papers are wrong and just following the lead of other news outlets, making it seem more credible through sheer number of reports, this could write easily be a load of bollocks.
I am getting a Vidal vibe from this saga.

Youre seem fairly new to the muppet season. This is what happens during summers. Everyone gives you negative news. You need to strong and be positive. If its good news believe it. If its bad news its bullshit. That concept will get you through muppet season.
:lol::lol: Shut up you clown

Finally got around to watching today's presser, and for the first time I feel that this is done. I didnt want to get drawn into this due to the disappointment from Vidal, Thiago, etc, however the conviction and the way Mourinho spoke tells me this one is done lads

This so much more advanced than Vidal, every outlet (reliable ones) are reporting the same. It's done barring a couple of small points and Raiola's fee.
There was many nights during the Vidal days where every outlet in Italy and Chile was reporting it but it just never went tbat step further to BBC/SSN. Then, it would get denied by agents and people who are actually reliable. The same is happening here. Although I think this will happen, I don't like the Vidal vibes.

At no point in the Vidal saga did it even get to the point of us submitting a bid. There was a lot of preparing bids, one never went it.

Some people are very highly strung. Just relax a little, I'm sure we'll have confirmation soon.

For me, the only stumbling block right now is who pays Raiola's fee, either Juve or us.

1. La Stampa say Pogba won't return to Italy when due back

2. Raiola is trolling everyone again

3. Fabrizio Romano: Raiola tweet is normal because his fee is the "missing piece" atm.

4. Jose said in careful words that woodward was working on the last transfer (pogba), but refused to name pogba openly.

With my second last post for the day, since you are the top poster in this thread, the updates are as follows:

1. Pogba telling everyone to give him space he is on holiday
http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/footbal...news/paul-pogba-im-on-my-holidays_277156.html

2. Mourinho tight lipped on transfer, quoted saying:
"I don't confirm and I don't deny," Mourinho told reporters at a press conference this morning. "I cannot tell you.
"I don't think it is correct to speak about players of other clubs. My directors did a fantastic work to do 75% of the job I ask them to do. I gave them a few options. We have just 25% to do until 31 August.
"We are in great conditions to have a great market. We are calm. We have three faces to fill the profile. I am confident Mr Woodward will get the player we need to get a good balance."

3. That troll of a Jenniy Lizarazo "journalist" saying don't believe anything the media is saying even though she called Benzema for Arsenal

4. Mino saying the deal aint done, more like he needs to get his cut still.

5. and as you just saw, the Barber confirmed it as much :D

Lets hope its announced tomorrow.

Ok now I have to leave my last post just in case it is announced today :D

Thank you! @crossy1686

Nah, not really. Been following ins and outs pretty closely since around David Beckham, Veron and RVN. But I'm probably just getting a bit too "involved" with this one. And let's not forget the Hazard, Lucas, Sneijder, Thiago, Vidal sagas etc. although I will give you that this one does seem a bit closer. But I still do believe this will most likely happen - I'm just taking some(maybe too many) precautions. But I think it's strange that both Marotta and Raiola publicy deny the deal if it is in fact so close to being done, which seems to be the consensus.
The agents will deny when dealing with big clubs. Usually that is what they are supposed to do. They will always have to account for what happens if the deal falls through. Think about this if Mendes had openly stated DDG last year wanted to leave what would happened end of the August when the deal fell through? It's not good for the agent, for the player, for the club etc.

It's not just about the fee though. How much do you think his delightful agent will want ? My guess is £20-25m. Then there are the wages at £350-400k pw at a guess.

This deal if it goes through will cost United in excess of £220m over 5 years in my opinion.

I wonder why no other clubs appear to be interested ?
And there is the catch. Ot will be spread over 5 years. Do you know hom much United will make in the next 5 years? approx. 2.500 mio. So 220 mio over 5 years would be 8,8% of the income/per year. It looks we can handle this with RVP, Vidic, Evra, Giggs, Scholes, Nani, Rio wages off the books...

Juventus are pricks, they installed that 20% clause so Raiola would pursue Pogba to leave us on a free in the first place, and now the stingy pasta chugging cnuts wants us to caugh it up.

I don't even think it's a stumbling block. Raiola's comments about zlatan two days before signing show he just likes the spotlight. Remember when zlatan said in the first interview that the "talks were finally over", thus implying lengthy talks? It's like Raiola can't help himself when a deal is close, he just has to create drama.

Ive signed him on Fifa so take it as done lads. Looks like just the last few details to be thrashed out. Think it will be announced beginning of next week

We don't know if this 20% fee for Raiola includes all three transfers which may very well be the case. Calm down people. This will get sorted out today.

True, wages have significantly decreased when we let a lot of the deadwood go

2013-14 £187m
2014-15 £215.8m
2015-16 £203 m

Think we'll finish the deal off today, then we can't start warming ourselves up for next summer's muppet season; Verratti/Griezemann.

Exactly what I was saying yesterday, they're turning their back on an agreement they made when they signed him, an agreement which no doubt tipped the scales heavily in their favour.

It's sly and despicable IMO.

I see that a lot of people bring up the Thiago saga. What was that all about? I wasn't really involved in that because I never rated the player.

It's just one Of the many sages that didn't work out after being. So close to being done. Moyes fecked it up.
