Nothing for us to be ashamed of, only 1 team can have that status, and our club can't do anything about many of those reasons.

In Scandinavia and Asia United are seen as the biggest club but obviously the quality of footballers isn't as good.

Its annoying because when we had SAF and CQ, we'd almost overcome that problem and stated importing many young Latino's ... and Im sure Rafael and Nani would have continued to deliver under SAF.
Hoping if Mourinho can last for more than 2 seasons, he can use his aura as a magnet for such players into the future.

Just watched Jose interview this is done. Marca and AS for the last two days have been slating pogba about how he's not worth what where paying and they also stated that Madrid pulled out of the gomes deal because James Rodriguez reiterated his desire to stay not because they want pogba now. This is done we have beaten Madrid to a world class player it seems to be hard for some of us to understand this.
Nobody here (including me) knows feck all about the specifics of how transfer dealings take place. Especially speculating if they can be done over email, FaceTime, or telegram.

I dassagree highly there. People can say whatever they want about our fans but they hardly ever boo. Even over the last 3 shite seasons, booing compared to almost every other clubs fans, is almost none existent.
Booing is MUCH worse than just just going quiet.
I didn't say the'y boo'd, but in last seasons, the crowd goes eerily silent when we are rubbish. You can even hear individual voices on TV sometimes.
Spoilt or otherwise, our fans demand entertainment and winning, and when they don't get it, they sulk abit by chomping down prawn sandwiches.
Personally. Id prefer if they boo'd as it would be a message to the players to get their act in order!

You can say we are regarded as the bigger club in many parts of the world, but there is nothing to back that up. usually those places don't produce good footballers so it is obvious Real and Barca aren't interested. In the exceptional case that a great non south american/Iberian player does pop up it usually results in just the same outcome, they play for Barca or Real, not United.
Where does Modric play, Where does Kroos play, where does Rakitic play, where did Odegaard decided to go ? Does United even have 1 player that Real or Barca would be interested in right now ? Bar DDG who was almost a Madrid player but for a broken fax machine, I'd argue there aren't any
And Im sure that had any of those players indicated that they would join us, we'd have paid them more wages than what they earn now.
Well it comes down to the fact Madrid have had huge power in the transfer market since 2009. In 2007 United were a much more appealing club, but even then latin players wanted them over us. Players like Bale have gone their now because they are a much better team than us now.
Its like that video of DiMaria when he was a kid saying that he wanted to play for us one day. He couldn't wait to get out when he came lol.

Probably the same reason why they dithered so much in the first place, they didn't really want him that much. You have to an unbelievably naive to think we have beaten Madrid in the transfermarket because Dave decided to stay. Again Madrid were total wankers in the way they tried to get Dave last summer, but he was packing his bags nonethless because he wanted to go there. If he stayed it is because Real didn't want him anymore.

Whether this deal falls through or not I couldn't really care. We have other options, Jose has expressed that. We have to trust the manager here that he will achieve success with the team with or without Pogba. It's not gonna destroy his bloody plans.
