I don't like seeing this. Smoking is not something an athlete (or anyone) should be doing
What? Arent they humans also? Everyone parties and drinks - they cant do that either? Whats next? Athletes arent allowed to have fun? Cant have kids because it reduces the time they focus on football?

Wtf? Of course not. Smoking and drinking are detrimental to an athlete (who is paid millions to stay in as good condition as possible, goes without saying you stay away from stuff that are toxic to your body)

There are plenty of ways to have fun without smoking. It has a massive impact on your health and thus performance. Comparing it to having kids is ludicrous.

He does it for two reasons - His dad was an alcoholic and he lost his life that way I think and he regularly donates blood.

I know - and it also falls in line with him being the consummate pro and taking care of his body.

Why can't we announce that we have agreed with the club and let him have his medical in later days just like Barca did with Gomes.

The wife is dragging me to Cheshire Oaks for the day. If he hasn't signed by the time I get back I may just end it all.

Ok, so it does look like Raiola is in Miami. If you scroll down to the picture of three people surrounding someone with a phone, it looks like Raiola. I seriously doubt he'd fly to miami to inform pogba of madrid interest. Could this be signing of documents "phase"? Could it be a ploy by raiola in the negotiation of his fee?

It doesn't have to be any of those. He could very easily just be enjoying a holiday with his client.

Guys have we established that quoted from Keegan from daily mail are fake? I got up and was really excited by then. My heart can't take anymore of this, sign him up woody. :(

Platini smoked. Cruyff smoked. Messi smoked. All are an all-time greats. And the list goes on and on

Sir Stanley Matthews played even in his 50's, winning Ballon D'Or at 41 (although the tempo was different at the time, granted)

That's not even worth mentioning, as you say - different times.

And all of them would have been better footballers for not smoking (to one degree or another). Heck, maybe Messi could find it in him to run more than half the average distance of his team mates in a match ;)

Messi smokes doesn't he? As does Aguero. They probably only do it on holidays though

Well, I can only mention Messi and that would be enough. It's not like they are a heavy smokers too - I'm sure that Pogba only smokes a few cigarettes on the holiday, and that doesn't impact your performance. When you're a heavy smoker for a long period of time, your lungs get fecked, you can't run etc. - but one cigarette (or even a hundred) won't do that to you.

It's bad - mostly because it's a disciplinary issue. But it's in no way critical.

Can definitely agree on that.

I think it's very likely we will move on to another target should he not sign by the end of the month. I don't think Mourinho wants to start the season with the current midfield options.

If it becomes clear we're not signing him, yes I expect we will sign someone else. Surprisingly enough.

In my opinion, it's not even a conversation worth having as this deal is only a matter of time away.

That's what I like to hear, once a manager starts talking like that it's over.
Thing is, did he ACTUALLY confirm United are in talks to sign Pogba and that they could sell him?
From that report it doesn't look that way.

Actual quotes from Allegri: "Pogba is a Juventus player at the moment but we don't know what is going to happen. The club are looking after negotiations."

Cue journalist "connecting the dots like a two year old". Muppets go crazy. Constructed reality denied. Muppet suicide. Repeat.
