Well good for you. There is no use having the best defenders with no proper players in front of them to control the game. I would have a better attack and midfield than a strong defense. Because if you dont have the players in front of them to protect the ball, your defenders are going to come under pressure no matter what. And if they keep getting pressured they will let in goals no matter how good the defenders are individually.I voted no.
Not even is Pogba incredibly overpriced, but we need defenders more than we need him.
100 million can buy a couple of the best defenders in the the world, and would have more of a positive effect than buying Pogba would.
Your theory would have made sense if we only had 100m to spend.I voted no.

Chinese window is shut and PSG know they can do far better.Imagine if Pogba stays though, and Juve cons a midtable PL team/Chinese/PSG into blowing 100m on Pereyra and Lemina. Their team will be up there with the Spanish Big 3, Bayern and Dortmund as CL favorites, probably better than all except Barca (on paper).
Some explanation maybe on the player amortization. The 94m or even the 47m don't matter, it's all accounting related, not liquidity or cash flows.Yeah that's what I mean. They are already negative even after the Morata sale.
They can probably offload Zaza and couple of young players but will be still around 70 or something net spend which overshoots their transfer budget.

Since we have way more than that, your theory doesn't make any sense.
We dont need 100m to spent elsewhere. We havent even sold anyone yet. Im sure we can make close to 25-30m from selling players and use towards another defender IF we need to buy someone after pre-season.We don't have unlimited funds. 100m spent here means 100m less to be spent elsewhere.
That was a pre-gone conclusion. Even without Higuain and Pogba, Juventus would have walked the league.Higuain is still a big game bottler though. But Serie A 2016/17 is done.
So can someone tell me again how crap Di Marzio is at transfer news?![]()

They want to win the CL.Wow and even with that record Napoli have been nowhere near the league?
Strange thing is that Juve don't need him to walk the lead why risk such a high fee.

What do you mean ?
How is he crap?
Higuain having a medical in Madrid.... Pogba can just go do his with the Dolphins while in Miami![]()
Im confused. If he was the first to break the story then how is he crap?Di Marzio has been copping crap from a few select posters on here because of the Gomes stuff up. Even though Romano posted it on twitter, Di Marzio was the first to break Higuain to Juve today.
The deals done if they have spent the moneyGetting more optimistic about pogba joining. Surely it means we can play a bit of hard ball over the agent fee now there spending big on Higuain. Proper muppet here went from despair to joy in a few hours.

Just for the banter. Now we pull out and bankrupt them.
Wait until they're desperate for money and bid £30mNow we pull out and bankrupt them.

They've spent a net of 40m euros this summer but the Pogba deal would make it 16m netThey dropped 30-35m on Pjanic and the Morata deal only covers that. They are going to sell players and maybe make another 30m. If they have a budget of around 40-50m every year could they actually afford Higuain without losing Pogba? Just trying to do the math here to see if the numbers add up.

Ohhh got it. Your wording made it sound like you think he wasnt good at transfer stories.I'm not saying he's crap. I'm poking fun at those in this thread who are saying this stuff.
why a medical in madrid though?
They would need to replace Buffon as well probably next year.
Juve fans must be a bit rattled about this. Losing one of their best players and spending ludicrous amounts of money on Higuain - who's 29. They'll be praying he continues his Napoli form.
Have you not seen the state of our midfield? If the money is to be spent anywhere, it has to be the midfield. The defence is in relatively good shape by comparison and we certainly don't have to spend £100m on defensive reinforcements. We don't have unlimited funds. 100m spent here means 100m less to be spent elsewhere.
Zaza, Pereyra, Sturaro are the ones up for sale iirc.Gotta keep in mind wages. Also who are they going to sell?
Yeah that was my point. The fees are not huge enough once amortized to automatically force Juventus to look for a buyer for Pogba. Now I still believe it's a good news but more from a "announcements" standpoint. Maybe now we can announce Pogba now that they bought a big caliber? To be fair it doesn't make much difference how the clubs balances the books. Regardless of Pogba or other deals are structured for 3-4 years ahead, most past deals are structured the same. In the same way Dybala sale is accounted for and so forth.
It's not like Juve will lack liquidity it just stretches out their budget and increases their debt so the would need to sell assets of at least 50m or so to balance the books.
