Well good for you. There is no use having the best defenders with no proper players in front of them to control the game. I would have a better attack and midfield than a strong defense. Because if you dont have the players in front of them to protect the ball, your defenders are going to come under pressure no matter what. And if they keep getting pressured they will let in goals no matter how good the defenders are individually.
Your theory would have made sense if we only had 100m to spend.

Some explanation maybe on the player amortization. The 94m or even the 47m don't matter, it's all accounting related, not liquidity or cash flows.

We don't have unlimited funds. 100m spent here means 100m less to be spent elsewhere.

Yeah. They do have a very very good team. Dybala is going to be an absolute star. Their transfer dealings are solid each year even when they lose good players.
Di Marzio has been copping crap from a few select posters on here because of the Gomes stuff up. Even though Romano posted it on twitter, Di Marzio was the first to break Higuain to Juve today.

Getting more optimistic about pogba joining. Surely it means we can play a bit of hard ball over the agent fee now there spending big on Higuain. Proper muppet here went from despair to joy in a few hours.

They dropped 30-35m on Pjanic and the Morata deal only covers that. They are going to sell players and maybe make another 30m. If they have a budget of around 40-50m every year could they actually afford Higuain without losing Pogba? Just trying to do the math here to see if the numbers add up.
To be fair it doesn't make much difference how the clubs balances the books. Regardless of Pogba or other deals are structured for 3-4 years ahead, most past deals are structured the same. In the same way Dybala sale is accounted for and so forth.
It's not like Juve will lack liquidity it just stretches out their budget and increases their debt so the would need to sell assets of at least 50m or so to balance the books.
They would need to replace Buffon as well probably next year.

Have you not seen the state of our midfield? If the money is to be spent anywhere, it has to be the midfield. The defence is in relatively good shape by comparison and we certainly don't have to spend £100m on defensive reinforcements.
Zaza, Pereyra, Sturaro are the ones up for sale iirc.
Yeah that was my point. The fees are not huge enough once amortized to automatically force Juventus to look for a buyer for Pogba. Now I still believe it's a good news but more from a "announcements" standpoint. Maybe now we can announce Pogba now that they bought a big caliber?
