Just incase Real Madrid decide to dig deep and take Pogba, then at least Kanté and looks like Mahrez leaving Leicester could cause Drinkwater to look elsewhere too.

I know he was on our shortlist of players that fit "the profile" José is looking for but if our last few seasons have thought me anything then it's to expect nothing and you can't be disappointed.

Your positive thinking gives me hope. I will also believe. Last time I believed it was Vidal and I was hurt very badly. This will be even worse. :(

Oh believe me it's only fairly recently I've come round to this way of thinking. I mean I wasn't wholly negative before just relatively sceptical regarding the chances of signing him. But over the last few days there's just been way too much being reported to make Pogba's return to Old Trafford anything other than a certainty.

It really is just the 'Real Madrid will steal him away from us' nonsense that irks me That's the one thing that ISN'T going to happen.

But I share you're pain over the Vidal saga. It was a real tragedy. Hopefully this will more than make up for it.

Wow from Pogba to Drinkwater. Now that would be a comedown

Di Marzio probably somehow loves PL supporters due to the followers and clicks he gets, but deep down he hates us.

"What have I done, these muppets are a different breed"

Paddy Power have suspended betting too. Probably means nothing though.

Can we use that "be quiet" line in here on some people? I

Skybet have suspended betting apparently. Usually means nothing but could people in the know have been putting huge sums on it. Had happened before.
I feel like this is mentioned literally every 10-15 pages. It means nothing. They have suspended betting at least 5-6 times before this. Odds change all the time.

1/3 on skybet lump all your money on it.

I don't know much about betting but I think that's pretty good.

Anybody heard what Tancredi Palmeri said about Pogba in talksport right now?
Probably something about Real Madrid and how they have a chance of signing him due to Gomes falling through... i didn't listen but i imagine it's something like that knowing him

Ah, but newbies weren't allowed to post in the mains during the Vidal saga, so would we need to put an asterisk next to this thread's name in the record books?
To be fair this thread seems to be pushing for the record in a space of 2 months while Vidal's one had about 14 months.

Sky haven't suspended betting but have just changed the odds and there even worse now, 1/3.

They did do briefly, and every single time they do it sends twitter into overdrive, people never learn.

1/3 tells me this is still up in the air, if I put £300,000 on i'd pick up £100,000 profit, now for what is supposedly a 'done deal' that is exceptional value...
