I always thought he was overrated but now we are struggling to get him I have never wanted a signing more. Well thiago aside.
That's the point. They don't want to sell him. The transfer is only possible because we're close to offering a ridiculous amount of money which Juventus would be mad not to accept and because they can't afford the financial package we would be able to give to Pogba.God you just don't know what to believe do you. I think Juve just don't want to sell and thats why they are making it as difficult as they can.
I'm losing patience to even care anymore to be honest.
Woody in China and Raiola in America.
It's either done deal or break down.
50 : 50 I guess

One day people will be able to communicate with each other from across the globe. Until then you are right.Woody in China and Raiola in America.

What you are saying is FFP calculation.
How much club pays upfront and in how many installments depends on the clubs. For example, if what Di Marzio said is correct then Juve will pay 47 Million this year and 47 million next year.

It doesn't change anything, it could be 23m now and 23m in April of both years, they can finance that. IIRC PSG had to pay Palermo like that.
He never said Aubameyang was going to sign for City. He said a bid was accepted but it was widely reported Aubameyang's demands were ridiculous and City didn't go for it in the end.I think the deals already done, why is DiMarzio gospel look at the Andrew Gomez thing and the Aubameyang transfer he can be fed lies too!
You asked whether it was more logical for Juve to wait for the Pogba deal to be concluded or not. To which I responded, paraphrasing, that is shouldn't have any connection to how the Pogba negotiations go because Juventus have the money to amortise Higuain's deal.
I said it way earlier on in this thread it's got Vidal written all over it! I think he'll wait till next summer to move to Madrid personally.
Yeah it doesn't change anything, just saying transfer are not amortized over the contract length. It's done only for FFP calculation.

They reached the final when Pogba was injured and missed all of the knockout stage.Erm? So? It doesnt mean they cant be a force next season if they retain Pogba and sign Higuain. Without Pogba they cant be as a big a threat but crazier things have happened like Chelsea beating Barca in the semis and winning the final against Di Matteo. How strong were they in the decade previously in Europe?
Madrid's transfer ban?I said it way earlier on in this thread it's got Vidal written all over it! I think he'll wait till next summer to move to Madrid personally.
Pogba is the next big thing though. Even if his value were to drop a little bit it's pretty much guaranteed we can have 100 million for him if we ever do decide to sell him. So there is definitely no need for us to sell him unless he makes it clear he wants out.Except we supposedly have an agreement with Pogba and its Juve who dont want to agree terms. If this deal fails its because Juve have put a price that is too high.
Juve will never get a bigger offer for one of their players than this.
They really haven't
Pjaca was €23m
Pjanic was €32m
Benatia was €3m loan with €17m option to buy him at the end of the loan
Dani Alves was a free transfer
And they sold Moratta to Madrid for €30m
So they have basically net spend €28m so far
In terms of wages Alves is prob on a big one and Benatia and Pjanic will also earn a decent wage but they have lost the wage of Cuadrado and Moratta so all in all not much difference there.
I don't think Juve would spend €94m without selling Pogba but it is not true they have spend an awfull lot. In fact they are a very economical club and their books are usually in order. At the end of the summer they will probably have earned more money than they have spend.
The thing actually is, I do think it is possible but very unlikley Juve might actually be able to afford Higuain without selling Pogba. They never spend much and every season they get money from CL money and winning the serie A, so it is not unlikley they might have build up some reserve cash. If they would sell some further players like Zaza (20m), Manzukic(20m), Pereya(18m) who all still look like leaving, they might actually be able to afford it without selling Pogba. But must say I think it is unlikley because it feels very unlike Juve.
My sentiments exactly, I'm getting to the stage where I couldn't give a shite either way.God you just don't know what to believe do you. I think Juve just don't want to sell and thats why they are making it as difficult as they can.

I didn't talk about amortisation, I just tried to show why it's not a big deal for Juventus. Ironically, by doing that I showed to myself why I shouldn't worry about +100m for Pogba.

Crazily overpriced and not exactly clear where he would fit into our system. It's not the end of the world muppets.
It's not linked to Pogba because Juventus can afford to spend 23.5m on a player every year, they don't need the sell of Pogba to finance that.
Amortization is an accounting principal that specifies how capital expenditure gets taken into cost.
It has nothing to do with cashflow.
That 94m they pay for Higuain could be paid in whatever kind of form, maybay half now, half next year or all at once. That is just cash going from 1 bankaccount to another, how exactly they do that will be part of the negotiations. How Juve has to account for spending 94m on player registrations that is an accounting principle and IFRS rules say for intangible assets like player registrations it should be amortized over the duration in which it creates economical benefits for the company, which in this case is the contract duration of the player. It is actually entirely the same as how capital expenditures get accounted for in the costs by depreciation.
So again what the feck does an accounting principle has to do with Higuain or Pogba being linked or not ? Either Juve doesn't need to sell Pogba to buy Higuain because they have enough money from other resources or they don't and they are obviously linked. How everything gets paid and definatley how everything gets accounted for it in the books has fecking nothing to do with this.

This. Not to mention there's a transfer ban looming on Madrid.Except we supposedly have an agreement with Pogba and its Juve who dont want to agree terms. If this deal fails its because Juve have put a price that is too high.

So what Pogba deal would also be amortized
What does it matter, if they spend €94m that gets amortized over 5 years or not, they will still need to make that money from somewhere. That is why I said it would more sense to me Juve are guaranteed the Pogba money before they spend it on Higuain because if they don't they will be left with a huge amortization cost on their books for the next 5 years, which doesn't sound like good business.
How the money is accounted for in the books has aboslutley nothing to do with the economical concept that you need money before you can spend it.
I think people use the word "amortisation" to try and appear clever without knowing what it means!Amortization is an accounting principal that specifies how capital expenditure gets taken into cost.
