Hold on a second!

Mino Raiola is supposed to earn shitloads of money if this deal goes through. Do you honestly think that he will spend his days in Miami completely relaxed doing nothing if Juve tries to cut his part of the deal?

As long as I don't hear a word from Mr Raiola then I'm completely relaxed and 100% sure that we will get Pogba.

That is actually one of the better points in the whole tread, to be fair.

Demand will increase and clubs get richer from increased sponsorship and sales. However, the supply of top footballers will remain largely constant - unless Asia gradually produces talent proportional to their populations.

This is a game with global demand but limited continental supply (Europe primarily).

We should have a competition "The best doom monger of caf". Ehsanul would win it easily.

Its a pretty old trick. If you want to draw attention to yourself when 90 plus % of posters think its nearly a done deal, then the best way to do is to take a contrarian position and support it with dodgy tweets.

Thats true. Everybody is quoting him and talking about him. Hell I did it too. :)

"Juventus keep on negotiating with Manchester United regarding the transfer of Paul Pogba to the Old Trafford. The Piedmont’s club Chief Executive Giuseppe Marotta has accepted the player’s request to leave, and he is ready to reduce the amount of the transfer fee needed, but not less than €120 million.

In the last days, the Red Devils have offered €110 million plus bonuses, but the Serie A defending champions have refused. Meanwhile, the English club is also in talks with the Mino Raiola, trying to understand the percentage required by the Italian-Dutch agent himself.

Mourinho would like to obtain the French midfielder before the end of the month, so a definitive answer is expected between today and Tuesday."

We'll get him. €10m is absolutely nothing and Woody has been desperate to break the record. He isn't going to allow what is essentially 56% of a Jordan Ibe, to risk the biggest deal in football history.

We were also very close to signing Renato Sanches.I bet the media don't have any idea about the deal, all guessworks going on.

With Ed Woodword in China i think the deal is dead because if we were negotiating with Juve he would have stayed back.

You're as idiotic as you are negative. The fact you believe the transfer is off actually fills me with more confidence.

According to Raiola's Wiki page, it shows Pogba to United for 120M under transfer deals brokered. Muppets invated Wiki as well?

People need to chill out, the deal is obviously done, that pic of Ed smiling confirms it to me, if he was pictured like that having lost out he'd have so much stick it would be unreal, everything Juve are doing now is for their fans, so they can put on a front, Ed knows it's in the bag and people need to calm down.

Football agents are really annoying. A growing cancer on the industry.

Surely if there's anybody who has been frustrating with this deal it's been Juventus? Although I understand why they're being difficult, since they don't want to sell.

Hope you're being sarcastic ...

I think if this transfer wasnt going to go through then there would be numerous other leaks to other players coming out.

Man smiling in photograph = done deal? Was Woody just going to permanently have a face like thunder if it fell through? Walking around like that scene in Airplane, just kicking the shite out of anyone who talks to him.

So it's not tonight then...

You expected a transfer to be announced on a Sunday night? While the Pogcrew are in Miami and Ed/Jose are in China?

At best another update from di Marzio, probably adding nothing new, later this evening. But most likely things will kick off mid-week, I reckon.

Oh great, let's spend a billion and a half to get a Champions League trophy.

That's what football and United is all about isn't it?

Sir AF "Yes? Get with the times or get left behind."

"Get with the times"

I'll never get with that.... not why I've supported United for 40 years and NEVER will be. I appreciate football is mainly about money now but £100m for an over-rated midfielder is stupid.

If that floats your boat, good for you.... you'll probably enjoy the European League when it comes.

Juventus and their fans should remember that they took Pogba, a player we developed at our academy, from us for peanuts. They turned his head whilst he was at the club and have been reaping the rewards of our work for the past few years.

Spoilt hypocritical little club.

I want to see United win the most important trophies, so I will most certainly not enjoy that. "Get with the times" is referring to the fact that you have to spend big to keep up.

It sucks, but they don't owe us anything.

They're trying to get as much $$$ as they can. It's good business.

If not, then they keep their player. They are in a win-win situation.

I hope we say no if Juve don't accept our latest offer. Stupid money for one player in the end.

All of these leaks from Juventus about how hard they are fighting to keep him....

Just the club preparing the fans and window dressing to allow time for the old lady to fix her make up, pull up her pants and take the walk of shame the next morning.

But we all know what happened and Woody left with a big smile.

20 years ago it was 30 million, now it's half a billion, but it's the same thing. It's just that the whole industry is so much bigger and, consequently, there's much more money in it. As a percent of income, United is spending a similar amount of money as it was in the 90's.

From one Welsh Manc to another...... my thoughts exactly, though seems some on here would pay £150m, £20m fees, their first born and wipe Allegri's arse for a month if they could see Pogba back in a red shirt.

It's not our money though is it? Why some fans care about how much money the club spends on a player is beyond me. I could understand it if the club would announce that they will raise the ticket prices and the merchandise prices because they spent 150M on a player. But it doesn't work that way. At the end of the day we want to see the best and the most exciting players wearing the red shirt, instead of somehow feeling better that the club "saved money".
