Wow... Matteo Moretto. Sounds reliable. GDM's little protégé.

Even, if it is old news, my cock is out - it was never in!

I just can't wait for the next breaking news on this.....it will go simething like this "Juve want €120m and want United to pay Raoila's 30% fee".

Its bloody like groundhog day!!
United agree world record fee > Deal stalling over agent fees > Silence for a couple of days > Real Madrid pushing hard for pogba > Repeat

Just waiting for talk of medicals, agent fees agreed or something! Same shit being recycled at the moment.

At this moment in time, I'll jump at every little bit of news I can get.

Fully expect baby Damian to come out and say his words were twisted and what he meant was if we bid 120M it will be accepted and the deal will go through.

Too much talk of Muppet Juice without something being done.

Schneiderlin, Herrera, Pogba is a very good midfield, with tons of energy, creativity, and goals. I would be very excited to see that.

To be fair, that lawyer bloke Greg something said there will be Pogba news tomorrow (as in Monday).

Herrera has not shown anything to suggest he should be a XI player.

CdS saying that Juve are after Witsel, with Pogba ready for United. Looks like Everton may miss out then.

Looks like United's deal for Pogba is fecking with a lot of other teams transfer plans. City wanted Bonucci, Arsenal wanted Higuain etc.

Hope information explodes about this tomorrow I want it just to end. Becoming so tedious but it's so addictive so I keep coming back.

How would this affect other teams transfer?

Well it's just speculation but i imagine Juve being forced to sell Pogba would make them much less likely to sell Bonucci to City. Arsenal were strongly linked with Higuain but now he's going to Juve because of the money they are receiving for Pogba. And now theres talk of Juve lining up Witsel to replace Pogba when Everton had agreed a fee for him.

Don't know about the Witsel one but i would definitely say the other two possible deals for Bonucci and Higuain were directly affected by United potentially signing Pogba.

Woody looked really confident in those pictures.

I still remember last season, when they showed pictures of Woodward, after he'd signed Morgan, Darmian and Bastian.
I think the headline was something like, "the cat that got the cream".
Bastian was mostly injured. Darmian started well, but then turned to crap. And Morgan always seemed to be invisible in every game he played. In some games I didn't realise that he was even on the pitch!

Pictures of Woodward smiling mean very little I'm afraid.

Neither has Mata. Rooney will start anyway, on merit or not.

You shouldn't put (poor performing) players in a starting line-up, just because other players are also performing poorly. That's a recipe for disaster.
Herrera has not been great and I don't quite understand the Herrera love-in. His energy levels are suited to the EPL, but for whatever reason, he hasn't done anything of note in 2 seasons.

Not very comparable signings to the signings we've made and are possibly due to make this summer. Although I do agree, we have to start proving ourselves on the pitch. Another season of shit football and disappointment could be very damaging.

Awesome chart. Thanks very much!

Genuinely very interesting looking back. Herrera seems an odd fit but I guess the first attempt at signing him lead to a lot of interest second time round

If he was given the same amount of games as Rooney was the last few years I'm 100% sure he would be outperforming him and many others but he never gets a decent run, anyway this is off topic.

The fake agents/advisors probably helped propel it up

Muppet theory on!

Pogba has a written agreement for a % of the sale as well as a fidelity bonus. Since he's also a Juventus employee there is a matter of social charges too, 4/5m extra. The fidelity bonus would be lost if it's Pogba who initiates the transfer, what he has not done yet.

Marotta would accept to pay this amount or deduct it from the transfer amount in order for United to pay later. Which is what Juventus did with Roma for Pjanic. He had the right for 6m on the 38m of his release clause and he gave it up. Juventus bought him for 32m and he will get the 6m over his salaries at Juventus. Roma doesn't have to pay social charges on top of those 6m, and Juventus can pay it in multiple installments.

To sum up:
Tuttosports says that Marotta received a 110+10 offer he rejected as the sum includes the 20m Raiola and Pogba are supposed to get (and the Italian IRS gets 4m). Furthermore the IRS will get a fine amount based on the profit of this sale. Indeed Pogba is a fully amortized asset in the balance sheet. He will only show as a huge benefit. Any accountant will see that buying Pipita or any other player will not amortize this sale. If the amortization is over 3 years, in order to break even on the balance sheet to avoid further taxes, Juventus has to buy for 300m.

The right scenario is that United handles the fidelity bonus and Pogba is sold "only" for 100m, or 90m with formal bonus to get later.

Sky Italia said that Higuain and Pogba are not correlated. Juventus is supposed to sell if the net amount for Juventus is 110m minimum. Which could mean a 120m offer with Pogba asking to leave and renouncing on the fidelity bonus.

The reason why Raiola needs to talk to Pogba right now maybe?

Anyway Juventus is at 150m buy and 30m sell for Morata. Higuain will cost 15m gross, Pjanic will cost 9m gross, Benatia will cost 6m gross, same for Alves. Pogba, to stay, would also need an increase. So either way this is not sustainable unless the salary structure is fully reviewed or the annual charges of players are annually amortized, e.g. with this sale.

End of the muppet theory!

Anyway I'm going to be the one that gets the record breaking 25859th post so eat that biatches
