Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

He's been saying that for the last few days though. Nothing that he hasn't already said.
you gotta remember too, Tancredi reports on TalkSPORT too, so i'd imagine he'd have to keep it interesting for the listeners and back it all up on his twitter.
Just a theory mind.... he might just be clickbaiting to feck tho

Quick question. why are people so sure his preference is Madrid? Is it just because they are not United?

As far as i'm aware, he was pretty close to signing for Barcelona last year but the ban and figures involved stopped the move. Now a year later and he loves Madrid and would only join us cos of money?

Anyone?

The delays must be because of one of three reasons IMO:

1. It's a "done deal" but a massive deal with a lot of technicalities to iron out like image rights, instalments, performance add ons, etc
Or
2. We are doing what we often do and are negotiating over relatively small amounts of money (in the scheme of things) - unfortunately this also gives Madrid more time to try and put together a deal themselves.
Or
3. Pogba himself is not 100% convinced about going to United (despite his agent persuading him to!) and is stalling in the hope that Madrid come back in.
Number 3. Why I'd rather we didn't buy him.

So you'd rather believe Tancredi than Marca? Marca are Real's mouthpiece. If Real Madrid want something out there, they'll just get Marca to print it and away they go.
Marca have said Perez doesn't quite fancy Pogba, and with James staying, it complicates things even more. Tancredi is definitely clickbaiting. He's the only person saying such things, and i'm pretty damn certain he wouldn't have more info than Dimarzio

Also when did the tables get turned?? Wasn't it Zidane who was trying to convince Perez, and Perez was having none of it because of the fees involved and the face James won't leave? Now Tancredi is hinting that Perez is desperately asking Zidane to convince Pogba. Come on now, is he for real?

Something people should take consider when deciding whether or not contradicting information from fanzines or 'late to the table' Twitter journo's are trustworthy, absolutely anything with the word Pogba in it is going to generate more traffic then they've ever experienced. I would even guarantee that posting a story that goes against the current grain would get you more hits than something that everyone else has been saying for the past 24 hours.

Madrid don't work like that, that is why they don't like Pogba who respects Juventus. Their tactics go something like this:

* Tap up player and offer a ridiculous salary
* Low ball the player's existing club
* If club don't agree, get the player to protest and kick up a fuss

This is the sole reason why Madrid are not in this as the player didn't bite.

Tancredi is a typical attention seeker who only uses twitter to flirt with girls. His FAQ1 and FAQ3 don't add up. I say better wait for the reliable journos.

For what its worth, LuckHurst has written in Manchester Evening News :
"Talks between United and Pogba are ongoing and a source told M.E.N. Sport the clubs are 'on the same page', with Juve putting on a public show of defiance in an attempt to convince supporters they are doing their utmost to keep Pogba."

If Tanc says we have agreed everything then there is no reason for Madrid to be back in. That's what I done understand.

100 percent. Especially the vague type of tweets. 'Madrid are considering bidding for Pogba as United haven't concluded the deal'. Send the United fans into a frenzy because big bad Madrid are thinking about stealing their lunch. And gets every anti-United fan to retweet and laugh at the thought of another saga ending in tears for United.

All of the above, based on a tweet that says nothing really. Unreal isnt it.

This is pretty much guaranteed. It would certainly be in line with what the Juventus manager and chairman have been saying. They'll be well happy with the money and will actually come out of this window with an all round stronger team and have made a profit.

Tancredi is worse than indykaila

Would you disagree that Giggs probably wanted Chicha to stay? All an assistant can do is put their opinion across but we all know how stubborn LVG is

From the sounds of it LVG did not listen to a thing Giggs had to say (including changing our ultra defensive playing style, which is totally against MUFC's usual playing style).
Perhaps Giggs was unable to "sell" his idea to LVG.
The easiest time to sell an idea would've been during the December when we did not win a single game. LVG looked like he was completely out of ideas, was booed at OT and that was his weakest moment.
Giggs should've been filling LVG with ideas and tried selling them to him. That was his golden opportunity.
My own feeling though (and this is not based on fact, just a feeling), is that Giggs kept his mouth shut, did as he was told and allowed LVG to hang himself. After all, Giggs was supposed to be the next manager after LVG, so why should Giggs help LVG save his job?

Completely agree. You better believe that if Madrid were actually in for Pogba and he was going there, we'd have an all singing all dancing media circle-jerk from Perez. He'd be updating the press minute by minute. The fact all the stories coming out of Madrid are nothing but butt-hurt, we're absolutely fine.

I don't believe madrid are in for him. I've never seen them pursue a high profile signing without excessive press coverage, tapping up, and press leaks.

If they wanted him, Marca would be mentioning him everyday.

Really believe its a done dealio, hopefully announced this week.

You're missing the regulation spouting of the current Madrid players of things like "he'd be great for Madrid" or "he's exactly what we need" etc.
This is another reason why I think it's all tied up bar the shouting.

He's saying Zidane would have to ask Pogba not to sign the document until Madrid are ready to bid.

It's all very loose speculation and complete rubbish, he's just saying "why Madrid might still have a chance"

Madrid aren't interested. IF they were they would have bid by now and making loads of noise. None of the proper Spanish Journo's or papers say it's happening. Madrid aren't a worry.

Like I say I would imagine this is announced after Juve announce Higuain. No club wants to appear to be giving into another club easily. But what's being said behind closed doors and in public are two different things.

So if I now send out a Tweet saying Chelsea are lining up a sensational £140m swoop for Pogba, according to "sources", might I finally manage to get into double digits of followers?

He's an actual journo. They are light years apart.

He maybe a journo, the express have journos who work for them aswell, point is Tancredi has got a lot wrong over the years, so can't be trusted as a reliable source

Yep you are bang on, i missed that bit

Growing tired of checking this thread now. I swear the last 30 odd pages have just been tweets rehashing the same information over and over coupled in with people shitting themselves that Madrid are going to hijack the deal.

All journos get a lot of stuff wrong. No need to single out Tanc or compare him to some account that completely fabricates nonsense out of thin air.

I would imagine yes. State that you source(s) work within marketing and they went into overdrive the same day Woodward landed in China.

Im always amazed that not a single 'source' has come from Banking or Finance sectors. I would expect the leaks to come from there since those are the guys dealing with the money.

I think Juve are using Italian journos to show that are putting up a fight, but in reality they are happy to sell, hence DiMarzio getting Andre Gomez info wrong, Juve probably fed him it to suit their narrative.

Its actually mostly people cribbing about people worrying about Madrid, even though the point has been made over and over again.

Here we go again. Joy late night, negativity through the day. Its like a vicious circle, just like all the failed transfers go.

NDA's? I think it would be easy to trace the source, and the chance of them losing future business may be not worth the risk

I hear you. It's getting tiring watching people panic every time Madrid are mentioned.
