No he's right, we could have Mane, Wijnaldum and Stones for that moneyHere we go again. SMH.

"Pogba's worth"
"If it doesn't happen in X number of days it's off"
There is no point arguing about SUBJECTIVE BS. We have no control over the club.
Would it be enough though? Obviously LVG was poor at getting much out of Schneiderlin, but that's no excuse for not being able to pass from A to B across the pitch. I don't think he'll ever be good enough for our starting 11.

On the subject of midfielders: Bastian, for me, was never invisible and is definitely good enough to play in a title/CL winning side. But, his problem is his poor injury record over the last few years.
It's like Groundhog Day, it really is. We should have just signed a few Joe Allens for £60m, that would have kept our RedCafe accountants happy.
This is great. Hope it's been sold to him like this!!!Agreed.
Pogba left because he couldn't get in the team. He has a point to prove, has family in the area, friends who he played with from a young age, he's going to triple his wages alongside all of the other benefits of playing for one of the globes biggest clubs under arguably the best manager of his era with a project that's designed to make this club one of the most competitive in Europe again! Not only all of that but United backtracking proved him right all along and he will undoubtedly be the highest profile player in the team and possibly the face of United for years to come.
At Madrid he's just another galactico who isn't guaranteed a starting place who it has been widely reported don't rate him as highly as we do anyway.
I know what decision I would make, United fan or not.
Oh god no don't bring up this old discussion again..Everybody has said this but which MF of similar quality/potential could we acquire, while still having money left over to spend on a quality cb and RW?
I can't see Pogba being announced before Higuain is. Juve have been posturing for a while, so to appease their fans, they'd surely have to sign Higuain first.
starting to piss me off , coming here, going to Madrid, if he wants to come here just sign already, if he really wants to go to Madrid , let him go.
If he is swayed by a phone call from ZZ, do we really want a player that wants to play for Madrid ?
Also Raiola's €25m commission, FFS wish I was a football agent , seems like money for old rope.
Having followed this thread for weeks without posting, my own view is that however fantastic a player is and however much he'd improve us, we should only pursue him if we're his number 1 choice. If there's any doubt about that, I'd rather the club didn't continue the chase.

i was mainly referring to those two quotes that flood this thread. Probably should have said "this kind of subjective BS"That's the only purpose of a forum.
It's like the GOP convention in here.Lots of 'feelings' in this thread. Don't let them spill over guys
Don't let facts and statistics get in the way of your feelings. It's like the GOP convention in here.
I am not sure we should be so specific because if you asked any player in the world what is their first choice club they are likely to say Madrid or Barcelona. I would just say in general that we should only sign players who express an interest in playing here. I can accept being second choice to Madrid in this scenario as Pogba knows Manchester, knows the club, this will not be like AdM.Having followed this thread for weeks without posting, my own view is that however fantastic a player is and however much he'd improve us, we should only pursue him if we're his number 1 choice. For the millionth time, we don't need another 4 or 5 "decent" players to pad out the squad, we need a huge signing of a proper world class (or semi-world class) player to elevate the whole squad.
People seem to think signing about 8 players in a summer is a good idea to build a team withWe'll spend about 6 chaotic months trying to blend them together and just end up being too far behind anyway.
This is all based on Madrid propaganda bs. There is no evidence of this.Exactly.... If the reports about him waiting for Madrid are true, then we should just forget about him and move to our next targets. We shouldn't sign a player who's heart lies with another club. Even if we sign him this summer, what guarantee do we have that he won't be forcing for a move to Madrid next summer. I am not sure about him staying with us for more than 2-3 years, especially him having Raiola as his agent. He is 23 now and he is not even near world class at the moment. The reason why we are paying a crazy crazy amount of money for him is because he has the potential to develop into a world class player. But even if he does fulfill his potentials and become a world class player, it will take at least 2-3 years for him to reach his prime. And by then, he and his agent will be all over us forcing a move to Real. So, what is the point of buying him for such an absurd amount when we know that the players heart lies with another club and most probably will leave us sooner or later?
And what if he fails to fulfill his potentials and never reaches the heights we are expecting? Then we over paid a huge sum of 80 millions on an average/above average player. Yes, i know that every signings has it's own risks and nobody knows about the future. But when you are spending an absurd sum of 120-140 million on a single player, you better make sure that he really wants to join you and he will stay with you for a very long time. In case of Pogba, if we are signing him for the reported amount, we should get his service for at least 5-6 years.
In short, after going through all these reports, i won't be disappointed if we don't get Pogba. I would rather prefer us to sign Kroos (70m) and Matuidi (20m) OR James (60m) and Matuidi (20m) plus another CB (30-40m) and we are good to go.
Really doubt that is their plan.I still dont quite believe this is gonna happen. Would love it, but still cant see it.
Sounds too familiar, like we are doing the negotiating on Madrid's behalf. Find the fee, sort the agent fee split, get everyone happy, then Madrid come in, match everything word for word and Pogba chooses CL football over us.

I agree with you on this but I do think that for Higuain to signed and sealed Pogba must already be done and dusted. I can't see Juventus blowing 94m Euros or whatever it is if there is any chance Pogba could fall through in any way failed medical or breakdown in talks or whatever, they wouldn't take any chances with almost 100m Euros on the line would they ?I can't see Pogba being announced before Higuain is. Seen a picture of Pogba and Raiola laughing in a swimming pool.

Madrid is slap bang in the middle of Spain, pretty far away from any large body of water. England is a small island, and Manchester has a canal running through it. It's so on.Seen a picture of Pogba and Raiola laughing in a swimming pool.

Yeah that could be a good shout. Either way I hope everything is sorted out before the community shield at the latest.Or release the bombshell of Pogba leaving first, and then immediately calm the hysteria by announcing Higuain after. Not sure they want their last bit of business to be their star player leaving.
Not always, we don't have to have a continuous leak of information for something to be on.When it goes quiet, its normally because the lead has gone cold ....this saga is beginning to feel like Hazard or Vidal.
Today new contacts between #Raiola(back in Italy) and @juventusfc for the future of @paulpogba @SkySport the @ManUtd
