Pages get added so quickly that people skip a load, and the same discussions keep getting repeated.
This may beat the Vidal thread for numbers, but content-wise, it's shit.
Vidal thread had a heap of shit aswel. half of it is posters laughing at Olly Gifs

The only reason we were getting him in the first place was we were offering more than Madrid ..now suddenly we are not offering enough to close the deal ?

Those quotes by Zidane say it all

Face it he is going to Madrid he clearly doesn't want to play for us and once again we have spent all summer chasing a guy who strings us along when the last thing he wants is to join us .

The sooner we wise up the better and stop setting ourselves up for Real to knock over .

Tomorrow is the day my fellow muppets. I can feel it.

Hopefully by the time I wake up US Central Time, the thread title will include the words BBC, United and Pogba

I'm amazed that people think Madrid cannot afford the Pog. Sure, they'd prefer to get rid of someone to make way, but if they want to, they can easily buy the Pog independently.

real and barca have to many on big wages its starting to strain there spending power

It's not about them being unable to afford.

They won't fork out that money unless someone is sold.

They won't meet Juventus' asking price if no one is sold. They don't value him that much nor do they have a need for him.

Why Juv can ignore the clause in THEIR contract with Raiola and refuse to pay the % of agent fees that THEY AGREED WITH RAIOLA? Then why sign contract to start with?

None of Marcotti's conclusions from the agent fee stand off make sense. You're telling me that the reluctant Madrid is gonna come in and make a 150 mil bid to pay Juventus and Raiola when Marca have been talking about how they have no need for Pogba for the last couple of weeks? Or that if RM come in, the agent will waive his fee (doesn't sound at all like Raiola)? Even then, it's hard to see RM forking out 120 mil unless they sell James who came out and said he was staying.

Who knows what's going on behind the scenes. For all we know, both Madrid and us could have been negotiating with Juve. It's not like every transfer dealing gets leaked. Juve stands to gain by playing us off against Madrid in a bidding war.

If Pogba was determined to come here, then that wouldn't be much of an issue. But if he's not sold on us exclusively, then it's a mano-o-mano between us and Madrid. In that case, they might have the edge.

They're not ignoring it. They're willing to pay it, as long as their share is still what they value Pogba at, which seems to be 120 million. Technically, they havent't done anything wrong, it's just really inconvenient.

I am sure Real have the money to buy Pogba, but they don't seem to have the will to do so at the prices being quoted right now. They have a strong team as it is, and they may not feel Pogba is not worth that kind of money to them.

IMO I think Raiola's "20% cut" clause is causing all the problems. Why would Juve want to pay someone who is backing their player to leave for another club? Juve wants the full transfer fee, and I think they couldn't care less what Raiola makes (or not) from this deal.

That's why in a normal situation, it's the buying club that pays the agent fees anyway.

The uprising of Casemiro may have reduced their "urge" to sign Pogba.

They don't play the same role. Which was a critical role that gave them balance in midfield.

Not saying they shouldn't have upgraded on Casemiro: they probably should've, and may well regret it.

Well if Raiola really does take care of his clients, he would have meant these words :

Here even when new mentions Pogba liking Zidane, He mentions other clubs including it us:

Why is that Rubbish? Bale went up a notch to his current level, since playing for a better team, why can't Pogba do the same?

Bale was the best player in the PL when he was sold to Madrid. If we buy Pogba back he won't even be the best player in Manchester.

So similar to Bale not even being the best player in Madrid? Says nothing basically.

Do agree with your original argument though. At least at this stage.

That doesn't count for much now does it? When is the last time an Italian team won a European trophy?

Juve have gone pretty close to 2 finals in recent years, and Pogba, although out of position for France reached the final. Better than most English clubs.
