I support this. Half of the posters seem on the verge of a mental breakdown and it's full of dodgy tweets. Just lock it up until something actually happens.

Why post an absolute clear fake account? Takes literally 2 seconds to check and see.

Here in France and the radio ( god knows what station ) are basically saying that Pogba to United is done and were talking about how we'll line up with him and Zlatan and Martial.

That's a new one.

1. Check twitter accounts before you post them, fakes/trolls are bloody obvious.

2. When someone posts a shit account and it's already been pointed out, stop quoting them, they don't need telling a dozen times.

140m EUR isn't a dent in the amount of money you can spend?

Again, sorry, but I can tell you don't watch a lot of Paul Pogba.
I wasn't including the Pogba fee.

Specify a lot. I watch at least 15 Juventus games a season. I'd say I've seen Pogba in a Juventus jersey at least 45 times, not including France games. That's enough for me to make my mind up on a player.

You have your opinion, I have mine. I honestly think you would be talking out of your ass if Arsenal had the financial power United do, and you wouldn't be excited over the prospect of you signing Pogba.

Personally, I couldn't give a shit how much United spend on players. It doesn't effect me in any way, shape or form.

There's no doubt in my mind this is what has happened. I'd be willing to wager that he is stalling to see if Real actually act upon their interest. I have no doubt, though, that United will fire the extra 10/20m at the agent and Pogba himself to seal this deal under pressure from Real.

Don't be surprised to see Raiola talk up the Madrid interest to milk United.

(It's easy to see these transfers for what they are when you aren't emotionally invested in it. It seems that the sense has completely drained from this thread; and it was very limited to begin with.)

Yeah agree with this.

Of course I'd be excited if Arsenal signed Pogba, mate (albeit not for this price). The problem with this forum, in general, is that there is no happy medium. Pogba is either the best young player in the world or crap. Martial's either the best u21 player in the world or crap.

I'm not saying Pogba isn't a good signing. He is. He's a fantastic prospect and a good player but I strongly disagree that he is the finished article or that he will boss the midfield week after week. I guarantee that if he doesn't impress people the way that they expect to be impressed they'll start saying he's a 'luxury player who just strolls around and doesn't impact the game'. I say this because that is what I see in his play in the games that he doesn't effect. There's always the chance this transfer is ace (of course there is, you are paying over £100m.) But this isn't a gimme, like signing a truly ready world class player.

He lives in America and sounds like a gypsy from the movie Snatch. Can't understand why he has so many followers, he is a chancer.

I tend to think it's the truth, the deal has dragged and I can't see us waiting around too much longer.

Is this a joke?

Messi, Ronaldo, Alexis Sanchez, Hazard, Bale, Neymar, Marco Verratti, Gonzalo Higuain, Luis Suarez, Sergio Aguero, Kevin De Bruyne. There's so many more I couldn't even be bothered continuing.
None of those are available. Who should we sign instead of Pogba? I do think he's not worth half of what we're supposed to be paying but if you can name an alternative, please do.

Yeah but he's talking about Madrid when it seems to be the agents fee that's the issue....so you got a bit of a contradiction there. Is he suggesting Madrid will out bid us? They certainly won't give Juventus Kroos...

We can say he's been consistant - but he left a gap and the Madrid angle suits him. Jose might be annoyed but why would Jose think Madrid are the problem and not the agent fee?

 The feck did Sanchez do last season to be included in that list?

Supports: Arsenal

oh, makes sense.

I've been quietly confident that this would go through, but those Zidane comments have completely changed the momentum of this one.

To be honest, I'm perfectly happy with that narrative. If we've offered a world record fee, and Juve have been trying to haggle on it, I'd rather us scrapping the deal all together and focusing on other deals we can make to improve the squad.

I still think it's more likely to happen than not (based on absolutely nothing mind).

He pretty much carried his country to back-to-back Copa America's. Less so this year than last year.. but he was again player of the tournament.

Do you watch football? I can't possibly fathom why you'd question Sanchez - he's far from the worst player on that illustrious list.

The manager of Real doesn't buy players, Perez does. And it seems very much Perez doesn't fancy the Pogs at all, so whatever Zidane says can be thrown straight into the garbage bin

Sanchez has had 2 disappointing seasons in the last 3.
He doesn't deserve to be on that list.

Some of you flipping out over this transfer.

It wouldn't surprise me if he is hanging on for a move to Madrid, strikes me as the type that craves attention and limelight. The more trusted journos have been saying we are close to a deal though and that's really all we have to go on so far so this seems on still...

Even that thread title made me come in to see what's happening.

I don't think Zidane would say things like "He isn't a Madrid player yet" if he thought he had absolutely no chance of signing Pogba

What I find more curious is that they seemed to give up on Pogba, nearly signed Andre Gomes instead but now have seemingly decided to re-enter the Pogba race

Precisely. It has been reported all summer that Zidane wants Pogba, it is Perez who has reservations. I just want this saga to end tbh, don't mind whether he stays or joins Real, just want this over with.

Don't confuse Arsenal with Sanchez. Our attacking players will never get the credit they deserve because of our poor tactics and defence.. but anyone who knows football can see Sanchez is clearly world class and would start for any team in the world except Barcelona.

Or maybe they were never trying to sign Pogba to begin with. Just a crazy idea.

I cant take another 2 weeks of this shit!

Mourinho won't take it either - he had said that he wants his team ready for the start of the season!

Pogba / Raiola had better stop playing games with us.

If they're both that greedy, then they can both **** off to Real - Big Deal, Is Pogba worth all that money after all? Did he manage to transform the French National team when they were in trouble?

In Italy all the media state that Bonucci is more important for Juventus than Pogba.

Yeah, I've been hearing the same thing. Canal

And how many could we buy for 100 million? PS, no way is Sanchez on Pogba's level. I'd also argue De Bruyne and Higuain aren't worth that either.

And Real Madrid

Absolute bullshitter, basically just repeats whatever rumour is flying about on any given day.

Last week everyone reporting that Pogba is close to joining United and he repeats it.

Week later and theres a bit of speculation in Spanish papers about medicals, and a few Zidane comments. Now according to him Real are back in the picture, with a little added background info about Mourinho to make it seem plausible.

You think that he knows what Mourinho's thinking and the transfer? He doesn't. He is giving his opinion like all of them attention seeking Twitter 'ITKs'.

Ridiculous. Pogba overrating in here is absolutely crazy.

Pogba didn't influence basically any games in the Euros. Sanchez carried a crap nation to victory in a more difficult national tournament two consecutive years. Not even worth me posting in here to be honest.. there's no sense.

Don't get my wrong, Sanchez is a good player and ideal for a team like Arsenal but Pogba has the potential to be a world player of the year. He's 23 and already one of the best midfielders in the world. Sanchez is 27 and losing the stamina that made him close to being a 100m player in his early years.

Pogba is 23 and at present one of the best CMs or one of the best. He will only get better surely.

Plus cost isn't important when you aren't financially weak. I'm sure as Arsenal fans you know more than anyone that money in the bank isn't more valuable than top players you need. Higuain isn't worth 75m but do you think having 75m in the bank would help you win the league than higuain? It's a similar case.

It's not really the best idea to compare players international performance with their club performance. Loads of players don't turn up for their country but are very good for their clubs.

Pogba was playing in deep midfield as well which isn't the role he is suited for imo
