Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

I don't think Zidane would say things like "He isn't a Madrid player yet" if he thought he had absolutely no chance of signing Pogba

What I find more curious is that they seemed to give up on Pogba, nearly signed Andre Gomes instead but now have seemingly decided to re-enter the Pogba race

He never said that. Sky got translation wrong. Been discussed a few pages back already.

But why would Andre Gomes be first choice and Pogba second?
All this speculation about Real Madrid has come from paranoid RedCafe posters. There aren't actually any reports that state Real Madrid were seriously after Pogba. The most credible source of any interest was Ballague who unequivocally said Real Madrid aren't interested in Pogba for the price Juvents are asking. That's it, nothing more. Since then it's been people on this forum keeping the Pogba to Real Madrid rumours alive. If everyone would shut up about them there'd be nothing to discuss because there's no decent journalists actually linking him to Real.

I don't see how people can call it an embarrassment or that we'd lose respect in the marketplace if we don't sign him. How is it embarrassing to refuse to pay 145 million for a player? Quite the opposite, in fact. Not that I'll really care if we do pay that much. We've wasted FAR more than that paying down the debt over the last 11 years with feck all to show for it.

Don't normally trust him but that sounds legit to me.

1. Check twitter accounts before you post them, fakes/trolls are bloody obvious.

2. When someone posts a shit account and it's already been pointed out, stop quoting them, they don't need telling a dozen times.

Here he is a few months back putting Pogba in his world 11:

Neuer
Lahm
Silva
Godin
Marcelo
Javi Martinez (if he can get back to where he was)
Pogba
Ronaldo
Messi
Robben
Suarez

Subs: De Gea, Pique, Dani Alves, Modric, Bale, Ozil, Aguero

Now that United are heavily linked he's got sand in his vagina and is trying to make himself feel better that United are likely to sign a player he rates in the 11 best players on the world.

Nothing to see here.

Apart from the Real Madrid manager saying they were interested in signing Pogba, less than 24 hours ago, you mean?

Ha! Brilliant

You'd be excused for thinking that it's Raiola that we're trying to sign- not Pogba.

I mean, he's the one who seems to be doing all the talking and pissing us around, not the player.

I've got a real bad feeling about this. Not that we wont sign Pogba, but that if we do sign him, in a couple of years time when he has 12 months left on his contract, this tw*t Raiola will start dicking us around just as he has dicked around Juventus, Real, Abu Dhabi Athletic and ourselves this summer.

If Pogba wants to come - fine....Let's hear him say that. And when he does, I'll welcome him.

Othrwise, let's forget the shadow boxing, the blackmail, and the shit from his pimp and let's just move on.

 cracking find.

Madrid's revenge for Woodward making them look like pricks last season over DDG maybe.

He did?
From my memory, Madrid said they wanted our best player.
And LVG and Woodward agreed.
Madrid were the ones who messed up, or should I say, their FAX machine.
Woodward could not have bent over further, for Madrid, than he did last Summer. The only thing he could've done is apply lube to Madrid's member, before assuming the position.
Even Fergie could not prevent Madrid from taking our best player back in 2009 (Ronaldo). He resisted them for 1 year, though.

And this is the reason so many fans are fearful of Madrid.
Madrid say, "we want your best player"
And we say, "okay boss".

Good find

Pilib doesn't really put his neck on the block unless he's sure, and to be fair he originally said Madrid were Pogba's favoured option not us, but if they didn't come in for him then he'd come to us, now he's saying he thinks there's are chance they are sniffing about hence the hold up, not exactly ground breaking stuff, but probably about on the money.

Still find it hard to see how Madrid will suddenly pay £100 m for a player that isn't really a game changer/scorer, who's fee would annoy likely Ronaldo, and who they don't really need, but maybe they'll just do it to get one over on us.

No Sanchez in the 11.

He pretty much carried his country to back-to-back Copa America's. Less so this year than last year.. but he was again player of the tournament.

Do you watch football? I can't possibly fathom why you'd question Sanchez - he's far from the worst player on that illustrious list.
He also carried Arsenal to............ Oh wait.

Not true at all. De Gea's contract situation left us in a weakened position.

Don't think I'm pushing the realms of possibility by saying I don't think that's what happened at all.

This has been done for days now, it's obvious the journos want to put the spin to the biggest football related story off season. They want to get as much juice out of this as they can.

How the feck are you pessimists still falling for these tweets? Some have said they even don't want him because they can't take it anymore, get a fecking grip.

 Brilliant. Purist let me get you some cold water for that burn!

The Purist is always talking nonsense - nothing new. Still funny, though.

If this does fall apart we go back to the old "wonky midfield" strategy that has served us so well in recent years.

We already lost Sanches, Gomes signed for Barca. Who is the 4th choice? Matuidi? a 29 year old PSG don't mind losing? Inspiring stuff.

We need to close this Pogba deal, no excuses.

He didn't even put the player who would start for any side not name Barca on the bench.

At the end of the day it's the player that decides. Can you blame Ronaldo for his desire to play for Madrid? No. If he was determined to stay here they wouldn't have got him regardless of whether the club agrees to sell or not.

I think that fans get the shits when Madrid is mentioned because it's quite reasonable that Pogba may decide to play for the CL champions.
