Because most likely these figures were agreed upon for a long time. Juve had to conclude their business before announcing this deal. Journos had to come up with some news everyday so some of the numbers were just thrown around without them being fully backed up.
Juve bought Pjanic as Pogba's replacement, used Pogba money to buy Higuain and in the process pretty much guaranteed another Serie A title. And now they are allowing him to sign for us.
