Do you want Pogba for £100 million?

All these casuals trying to claim a part of all the hard work we've done in this thread.

He was in Miami. Was LA the closest location to do a medical? The length of the country. He might as well have just come back the other way, medical at Carrington and have a the rest of his holiday in Formby.

LA, Shmellay.

Mourinho wants the player, and the club are doing what he wants that fits his team, its not some player the club are getting that is a luxury that the manager was not fussed on, but a player we do need and mourinho wants him. Like I have said its a double edge sword, if we pay the money other clubs will say wait a minute, you paid 100 million for pogba, we want has much as you give juve, or they screw us eve more. I would rather have Pogba, possibly one of the best midfielders in the world, than get matudi a 29 year old who is ok, but its not going to improve us drastically.
I never said he was signed as a luxury or Mourinho isn't fussed on him. We haven't actually signed him yet.

Amazed how over the course of this saga we've gone from thinking £92m is insanely overpriced, to thinking we've got a massive bargain because we've covered Raiola's 20% plus bonuses in that £92m.

I ain't afraid of no ghosts.

Where are you quoting these figures from?

Because he's in America?

The "imminent announcement" could also be Juve's announcement that he's sold, like Dortmund, ages before Man Utd confirmed.

Yeah but when Dortmund did that it was before mikhy had done his medical, he spent a few days in Dortmund packing up before flying over and doing his medical. I don't get why pogba couldn't do the same.

Says me. It's an educated guess. Hence the word "likely" being in the sentence. When do we ever let players do full medicals under someone else's supervision in a different country?

Medical's are done for the underwriters and insurers, if they're happy there's no reason it shouldn't happen.

 Why is this bothering you so much? Who cares where the medical is?

Just chilling out around page fifty, there's some pretty confident posters saying we've got no chance in signing him!

I agree with @StanleyCupboard

I think the medical will be (or at least finished in) Manchester. I can see Ed wanting to make a big deal out of it and milk it. Will be easier to do if it's in Manchester

I don't know to be honest, it just strikes me as strange and I don't really believe it for some reason. I think this will emerge as nonsense and his actual medical will be on Monday or something.

One of many great things to come out of all these high profile transfers is that it will rightly take away the limelight from players like Martial and Rashford. They will be allowed to develop at their own pace.

at this point it could be argued that martial is already a high profile player. rashford less so.

It still bothers me that there's nothing on the BBC about this. I'm scared that this will all turn out to be bullshit, Pogba will state his love for Juventus and we'll all end up with egg on our faces.

Wasn't he in Miami?

So we've apparently flown him about the distance from Miami to Manchester but in the opposite direction in order to carry out his medical in LA?

Makes total sense.

I wouldn't think it'd just be for a medical. Hell, one of the best sport doctors on Earth lives in Alabama. And the Glazers' would have contacts to the highest profile medical facilities on the East coast.
