This is a horrible, horrible campaign. Playing with the emotions of fans of two of the biggest clubs in the world, honestly don't know who the feck came up with this stupid idea and I'd be really interested to know how they spin it so as not to ultimately end up disrespecting either club, irrespective of the final outcome of this God forsaken saga.

People really need to get a grip.

Even with this many people trying to explain different points of view, people still think pessimistically of that adidas video.

The discussion about the ad is great!
The guys in the Juventuz forum are doing the same and the have their own theories about the ads - so there're two sides.

HOWEVER, even though I'm very pessimistic about this deal to happen I really can't imagine why United would allow to publish an ad showing them as total noobs not able to sign their (reportedly) main target - this wouldn't make any sense..

A done deal behind the scenes doesn't exist aye?

Not done until it's signed. Deal done behind the scene means nothing really. If the papers gets destroyed before Pogba signs and delivered to make it official it doesn't count. If Pogba signs and the papers get destroyed two seconds later it's also not official.

The papers have been saying Pogba prefers Real to United. .

He doesn't. Never did. It's all bla bla bla. Not sure what people can't see with this. Or why anyone with a braincell would think both United and celebrity United fan Stormzy would agree and sanction a video with Pogba if it wasn't all but done. .

Come on guys.

Spot on, it's really clear to see. People are looking for reasons to panic about this not happening when all signs suggest it's imminent. It's happening guys, there's no need to worry at all, Ed Woodward has this all under control.

If we hadn't already dealt with Raiola for Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan then maybe I could understand but at the end of the day, he's a greedy agent who wants our money and won't let this transfer break down when he's set to make a ridiculous amount of cash from us.

Ok, that seems to be very very deep but totally plausible but you think adidas wanted the ad to be so deep? I am actually amazed how a lot of fans are able to find such deep meanings to fuel their hope.

It's not about about finding deeper meanings. It's about the use of the United crest not being circumstantial and most certainly not unauthorized.

On a side note I find it baffling that some in here totally dismisses the fact that some sports journalists actually have good sources in high plages that provides them with solid information. For instance wouldn't it surprise me at all if Raiola himself are feeding Di Marzio with news, considering his accuracy when it comes to transfer stories involving Raiola's clients previously.

That's the ideea behind a spot like that, to create hype and to get massive exposure because people are trying to find deep meaning in it.

I am not dismissing his views or news completely. I am just saying that this deal if it happens is going to be a world record. I am just surprised that how come well known and reputed lot like bbc are not even involved, nor do they have a single report. It's just a bit odd for me to believe a journalist on twitter blindly.

I do now agree to the fact that United would have never consented to allow the United crest if there was no good news in the end. I just never saw it that way and now can understand the meaning of the ad.

Yeah, but we're not talking about your average Joe Schmuck wannabe sports writer. This is the top italian sports journalists.

And he'll be back again in the future demanding even more, Woody is dealing with the devil.

It's awful how much money he's making from us this summer but if it wasn't from United it would be one of the other rich clubs with money to burn this transfer window. Still shocking agents like that who lets face it, probably doesn't actually do all that much at all, get millions from these big deals happening.

Why are people asking for something new? This is all but done. The next step will be an announcement which may take a few days while the final details are concluded. Don't lose your shit if it's quiet for the next few days.

There is no deal according to Raiola himself. :D

Probably just trying to apply public pressure so he gets paid but still, there is no deal. ;)

Please explain how the Adidas advert proves it's done? Because I'm obviously too thick to work it out.
Adidas are our official kit sponsors but we still own all the rights to our logo. They legally cannot use it without our permission.

We aren't daft enough to lend out intellectual property for a player we aren't a 100 percent sure signed. We are a publically traded enterprise and reputational management is one thing we do.

I am pretty sure that Pogba ad will be part of an extended piece once he has been unveiled. You can quote me on this when it does happen.

Yup. They are not going to announce anything tomorrow to overshadow Zlatan's big day in Sweden. Then it's the Rooney match after that..

Not that they necessarily do enough to justify the money they earn, but modern day agents basically run these footballers' lives for them.

Have a read on the analysis dann10 or whats his name is over at juventuz has done. He has done an analyzis of the Adidas campaign and the Raiola tweets from his mom's basement, and is now hailed as Nostradamus mach2 over there.

They are even more desperate than us.

he is not a world class player yet. i think united are paying on expectations of him being a WC player in the future. he does have the tools and united have the cash. FFS 100m , i remember 1m for trev at forest and thought that was fecking mental.
As has been shown in that graph, when you account for our turnover this is only our 3rd biggest signing ever. He's clearly got loads of quality and, at 23, represents a long-term investment.

We've splashed big on young, somewhat unproven players before (Rooney, Rio) and there is an element of risk but if we got him to his potential then it's well worth it.

That's leaving aside the marketing side of it by the way.

Oh Raiola said the deal isn't done?

Basically confirms it's done. It's Raiola after all. Guessing this gets announced Monday.
